BLUE DAZE

I DO love our BLUE MONDAY, that SMILING SALLY gives us each and every week...
Don't forget to go over and leave her a great big THANK YOU for doing this for us...
and, while you're there...take a tour of all the other BLUES posted just for YOU !!

now....I am pretty sure that only a few others in this world think this picture of this precious little boy is THE CUTEST ONE THEY HAVE EVER SEEN IN THEIR ENTIRE LIFETIME ON THIS EARTH....BUT.....
I DO !!
How much cuter could it get than to have his 2nd Halloween as a little train engineer, all decked out in his BLUE and WHITE stripe overalls and cap....
Be still my foolish heart !!!
this little fella is now 18 years old and my first grandson...
*

I have really searched my house, high and low, for things the color of BLUE
that I have not already shared....
This is a blue, wooden cross that Beautiful Daughter gave to me several years ago....
*

a plate from MEXICO...a gift from Beautiful Daughter from one of her cruises...
*

THIS one is also from Beautiful Daughter...
while we were on OUR cruise, I looked for a pretty pitcher but didn't see one that struck my fancy.....
When we got back home, she brought THIS BEAUTY over to me...
She had gone off shopping in a different store and found it, wanted to surprise me with it and she did a FABULOUS JOB....both picking out a pretty one AND surprising me!!
THANK YOU, SWEETHEART ! YOU KNOW I LOVE IT !
********
*
OH !.......

*

get a plate out of the cabinet and have a slice of BLUEBERRY PIE.....I MIGHT even have a little Vanilla Bean Ice Cream left to put on top....

XO bj

Your grandson..is adorable. Do you have a picture of him at 18? You must post it! My oldest now has a tiny little girl, Emilie Ann. I wish her Grandpa could see her. I think he does. I do.

What a precious photo of your grandson! I look at pictures like that of my children and, while I love the young women they have become, I sure do miss the little girls in the photos! I think I might need a slice of that blueberry pie with ice cream to console myself!

Oh I want pie! The pitcher is awesome. I love the photo made all 'old time'! He is a cutie.

bj...after reading your comments on mine, I just had to come back and comment. I was laughing and saying "Amen sister" at the same time. I even read it to Mr. Dumpling.

Like you, I don't understand. I agree. Pres. Truman was one of the few that has kept my respect with all I have read. Some of the others? Yech.

BJ - What a sweet engineer - where do the years go? Now that pie - my mouth is watering! I also want to mention that I think I read on one of your comments that you are a member of the DAR. Alas - I have one line to document and I've been working on it for years. I even visited my Revolutionary War ancestor's grave. The documentation involves the time period betweenn 1810 and 1828. I have been told that the SAR would accept the information that I have but the DAR will not. I really got off the subject. Happy Blue Monday.

I love that little train engineer pic! My grandfather worked for the railroad, so it made me think of him...I know that sounds weird as this is a pic of your little grandson, but the clothes and the props trigger that memory.

Love that blueberry pie, and those luscious strawberries in your next post!
