VINTAGE PINK MEMORIES....AND A CUTE CRAFT

TIS MY MOTHER'S PINK JEWELRY BOX
costume jewelry was such the rage back when she was young....
she kept her better jewelry in another jewelry box but, alas.....it isn't PINK
so it will slip into another posting one day....

OOOOO, this little BABY JESU' isn't VINTAGE but HE is so ADORABLE, with HIS little PINK face, that I wanted to share HIM with you.
SUZANNE at THE FARMERS WIFE, made this precious little GUY and, as most of you know, I am NOT a crafting person AT ALL. Her instructions look so easy and, even tho I will PROBABLY make a hugh mess, I am going to try making one for my shelf in my entry hall.... IF ever I get just a little extra time, that is....
If you'd like to see SUZANNE'S step by step instructions, COMPLETE WITH PICTURES, go on over and......
then, if you make one, PLEASE LET SUZANNE and MYSELF know....and share pictures.......

Here's some pink vintage ads that I think are so cute....

PINK SATURDAY IS HERE AGAIN.
THANKS, BEVERLY, FOR GIVING US A CHANCE TO
PLAY IN PINK....

*

I ADORE vintage ads and especially when they have a TOUCH OF PINK.....

isn't this an adorable ad...

wasn't she the most beautiful thing !!

SOOO, THIS is what I need...
"a lipstick with heart of flame to make you look born beautiful"
it's just that i was BORN so long ago!! :O)

uhhh, you have to look pretty hard for PINK here...
but what a CUTE ad....

do they still even make ELIZABETH ARDEN cosmetics ??

Well, since you all know just about how old I am, I can safely say...
I REMEMBER WHEN MY MOTHER SQUEEZED A PACKAGE just like this one to make the margarine softer and also there was a COLOR TABLET inside that made the margarine YELLOW....
oh, my gosh...i had forgotten all about this....so amazing!!

WE'VE COME A LONG WAY, BABY....

do they even still make LUX soap ???

ahhh, yes...back in the OLD DAYS, people wanted PARIS FASHIONS...
*
now days, no one gives a freakin' flip about PARIS FASHIONS !!
we love jeans !!!! and tee shirts !!!! and sneakers and FLIP FLOPS !!
oooo, and fleece pj bottoms....

Yep...here's one that I KNOW they still make...got a feeling, the lipstick is
MUCH better today, tho....

ok...I think, if you look really hard, there's some PINK back there in that crowd....
beverly says there's no PINK POLICE but i still am about half scared there is ! ;O)

Uh, hu...been there...done that !
isn't this the cutest ad....
******************************************
Slip on over to BEVERLY'S cottage...she has a LOT of PINK for you today....
Love and hugs, bj

PLEASE PRAY HARD FOR DEENA...SHE IS FIGHTING SUCH A HUGH BATTLE.

Yep, Lux soap is still manufactured by the Unilever company! That's a pretty good track record.

I had a blast scrolling through all the vintage ads. Marilyn being my favorite - gosh she could probably have sold ice to eskimos.

And just as I thought your fab post was coming to a close, I am left with a gorgeous pic of Johnny Depp! What a treat!

What a fun, fun post---and I DO love the looks of that Johnny Depp! That guy has so much talent!

Your mom's jewelry box is just so sweet--love the little fleur de lies on the lining.

THose old ads are a hoot. I don't think we ever had any squeezeable margarine, but I do recall many of the other items!! You are such a good little Pink Researcher!

Hope your Sat. was a great one! Dana

I love vintage ads... they're so much fun to look at! And what great jewelry!

BJ, you are a hoot. I don't think it matters where you get your pink or how much there is of it, your post is so much fun. The ads are awesome. I love the old ads and I believe they had a lot more interest than they do now. I too remember the oleo with the yellow dye. As kids we hated how it tasted. We lived on the farm then and most of the time we had real butter. We did live on a dairy farm. LOL.

Today at our church women's luncheon we were asked 25 questions about what we were remember about way back when. I remembered 24 out of 25 and I was so proud of myself.
Then the hostess said if you remember all of those things you are older than dirt. LOL. I was sure deflated.

Have a great Sunday sister friend...love, Jeanne
