SAM 'N ELLA

TOMATOES ARE
SCARY
RIGHT NOW...
(A DEVIL TOMATO)

REMEMBER.....
They were so good just a few months ago
AND WE COULD ADD FRESH ONES TO OUR SOUPS, STEWS AND OTHER GOOD RECIPES

THEY WERE SO GOOD !

MY FAVORITE SANDWICH IN THE WORLD IS A
B.L.T.
OK, so now it's a B.L.

and I just DRINK the T
boo hoo

This is a pretty poor looking salad without

TOMATOES
but what's a girl to do?

Oh, I know you can add RED PEPPER for color but it's just not the same
And, I've never tried
CANNED TOMATOES
in a SALAD !!
YUCK !

COME ON, LITTLE TOMATO PLANTS

GROW !!

FASTER !!!

hugs, bj

I am so mourning not being able to buy summer tomatoes.

Something big is wrong in my world when I can't have fresh tomatoes.

We don't get "real" tomatoes here until August, so I just continue using the grape or cocktail variety. A little messy to add to a sandwich or burger, but they taste good.

Nothing tastes as good as a garden tomatoe..I'm encouraging mine along daily.. they are in pots, just in case the racoons decide to
start visiting..we can bring them inside at night..
Now I have itty bitty green tomatoes
and I want one big enough for a BURGER!!
yummy, Deena

That top pic is too cute! I know what you mean. I stopped and got a taco salad from Taco Bell the other day. It was so...green! So boring without the tomatoes!

I know. I miss tomatoes, too. The other day my hubby and grandson wanted a BLT from Sonic. So they were ordered and came with only mayo, lettuce and bacon. Ed gave his away to our grandson as he said not the same without the tomato.

I can't wait until my dad's "fresh from the garden" tomatoes are ready. They've spoiled me for any other's anyway.

In August I could just live on dad's corn and tomatoes. Yum! Oh yeah and green beans.

I'm hungry. ;)

Hi BJ we have been gone most of the day and I am struck with blog withdrawal. I love that tomato it looks like a Halloween pumpkin. smile! I planted tomatoes in my flower pots and they are growing great. I took pictures several days ago and I am going to post them on garden day. I used miracle grow potting soil. Thanks for the sweet comments on todays post. You want a laugh, None of us liked ourselves in that photo. How vain!!! The fact is we are all getting older. My sister Diane was so pleased with the post.

Working on my fabulous trip. Yep, I know where I am going.
Love ya, Jeanne

BJ, I might get a few buckets and try this! My mother paid $1.50 for one tomato at the local farmer's market today. She had a fit, but what else is there to do? LOL! Hope that with the Texas heat and a little fertilizer, these babies grow fast for you!

Hugs, Rhonda ;)
