MY DREAM TRIP TO PARIS...Ooo La La

MOMMY HOLLY is hosting a VIRTUAL VACATION
and since I love
FRENCH foods.....
I am off to

PARIS, FRANCE

for good foods, good coffee, good shopping
and

a good time, in general

I AM PRETTY SURE THE VERY FIRST THING I WILL BE TAKING WITH ME ON THIS TRIP IS MY
SUITCASE FULL OF MONEY

*********

AHHHHH

I'M ON MY WAY TO

PARIS

OK, I have my tickets and my boarding pass....
I'm getting excited here.....

UP UP AND AWAAAAAY......

I GOT THE GOOD SEAT RIGHT BY THE WINDOW.....

OOOOO LOOK AT THE GREEN, GREEN FIELDS OF

FRANCE

WE'RE HERE...

WE'RE HERE.....

I SEE THE TERMINAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY HANDS ARE SWEATING, MY PULSE IS RAPID AND I THINK I AM ABOUT TO BREAK OUT

IN THE

FRENCH LANGUAGE

OUI, OUI

(oh, boy, I can speak FRENCH now)

(OK...so I can't SPELL it)

OMGosh....
WOULD YOU JUST TAKE A LOOK AT MY FABULOUS, MAGNIFICENT
FRENCH HOTEL

I am swooning .........

The first thing I see is the
infamous FRENCH painter, on the curbside

I must ,
I say, I MUST have a

FRENCH PAINTING

OH, YES.....
JUST LOOK AT THIS BEAUTIFUL
FRENCH PINTING
THAT I BOUGHT FROM THE
INFAMOUS FRENCH PAINTER
ON THE CURBSIDE

;o)

HURRY...RUN....

CATCH THAT
FRENCH BUS

IT IS GOING TO TAKE ME TO.........

THIS FABULOUS
FRENCH BEACH

AHHHH, THE SUN....

THE SAND....

THE BLUE WATER......

THE FRENCHMEN.....

THE FRENCH COUNTY SIDE IS JUST AS I HAVE ALWAYS IMAGINED IT WOULD BE !!
EVERYTHING LOOKS
JUST LIKE A PICTURE
(wonder why?)

OH... HOMES...
I HAVE TO SEE SOME BEAUTIFUL
FRENCH COTTAGES
(I THINK these french signs say "A Home Tour"....if they are speaking of
OTHER "HOUSES",
excuse me)

ahhhhh

THIS IS JUST EXACTLY WHAT A
FRENCH FARM HOUSE
SHOULD LOOK LIKE...
BET THERE IS A SPLENDID
GRAPE VINEYARD RIGHT OUT BACK

AHHHHH.....

and

OF COURSE I MUST SEE AT LEAST ONE

FRENCH CHATEAU
JUST BEAUTIFUL !

THE FRENCH
SIDEWALK CAFES

I AM IN HEAVEN

I WILL SIT AWHILE, HAVING A
FRENCH ICED COFFEE
AND JUST SEE IF I CAN SEE A FRENCHMAN WITH A THIN, BLACK MUSTACHE AND A
FRENCH BERET ON HIS BLACK, WAVY HAIR

OF COURSE

OF COURSE....

WHAT'S A TRIP TO PARIS WITHOUT
FRENCH PASTRIES
YUMMY...
OUI OUI

I DO BELIEVE I WILL TAKE A FEW DOZEN
HOME WITH ME

(do they let FRENCH PASTRIES on an airplane?)

AND, NOW....drum roll , if you please....
THE REASON FOR A TRIP TO
PARIS, FRANCE .......

A PARIS FLEA MARKET

IS EVERY GIRL'S DREAM
(and remember...I have a
SUITCASE FULL OF MONEY)

OMGosh....

can you even imagine getting to go here ?
(with a suitcase full of money)

OR HERE ?
OH, I COULD WALK AND WALK AND WALK AND

LOOK AND LOOK AND LOOK

AND SPEND AND SPEND AND SPEND

BUT WOULD PROBABLY BE

SOOOOO GLAD TO GET BACK HOME AND

REST

and eat the remainder of those

FRENCH PASTRIES

************

Hope you had fun going on my visual trip to

PARIS, FRANCE

I sure did!

dream....
sigh.......
drool.....

Phew BJ, I'm exhausted, too. But, I am making the rounds in Europe. I've been to Ireland with Jeanne, Italy with Holly, England with Heidi and now France with you.

Thank you for taking me with you to fantastic France. But, I ate so much that my pants are feeling snug.

That was the BEST trip to Paris I've ever had ... Well, I've never BEEN to Paris, but if I ever get to go, I'll want to do all those things you did on yours, especially the FLEA MARKETS! Can you imagine? I'd be like a kid in a candy store.

I loved your post ... and your pictures, especially the last one.

Sincerely,
Janie

Fantastic trip! We actually were in Paris 2 years ago, but only for 2 days and we didn't get to go to the Paris Flea Market...it was probably a good thing because we didn't have your suitcase full of cash...LOL. You prepared a wonderful virtual tour for us..great job! :-) Brown-Eyes

Hello, This is BJ's daughter. She doesn't want me to talk about these tings, but she is having a very serious surgery this afternoon. It's a big one, and she will be in the hospital for the next week or so. PLEASE PRAY for her to come through the surgery ok and that the surgery will work. I know she loves you all, and you love her too. Thank you!! Stacy

Oh BJ, Paris with my coffee was just what I needed this morning. That was so much nicer than the pile of paperwork and the side of homework on my desk that will be my adventure today!

I really enjoyed this post, in part because I really did go to Paris in 1999! It was a fantastic trip but far too short, and it was a dream that I never really expected to come true. I can't wait to go back, but if I do, I want to see the rest of Paris. I just about cried when I finally got to see the Louvre because I never thought I'd see it and because it made me think of my mother who would have been so happy to see my dream come true. It really is a magical city and so beautiful.
