BEVERLY, my friend over at HOW SWEET THE SOUND

is hosting PINK SATURDAY
and I wanted to do a Saturday with her.
I don't have very many things in the color

This beautiful, PINK book was given to me several years ago by
BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER
and it's got some of the most delightful photos of little
BABIES

This OLD shaving mug, with the handle broken off
belonged to my mother.
The key to my wind-up clock is attached to the other end of that cord

BILL bought this beautiful English plate for me about 10 years ago

Isn't this the ugliest thing you've EVER seen and
I PAID MONEY FOR THIS !!
What was I thinking and even more,
what WILL I ever do with it ??????

BEATS ME
OOPS, I feel a
"WHAT'S A SHABBY DOOR THINGY TO DO"
CONTEST
coming on here........:o)
UPDATE.....
THIS UGLY DUCKLING IS GOING OUT TO
MO over at MO'S COTTAGE
and she has
PROMISED
that if she can come up with ANYTHING cute out of it,
she will post a picture for ALL TO SEE....
HAHAHA...GOOD, GOOD LUCK, MO

My very favorite little plate from my mother

One of the first quilts I made

A favorite PINK flowered lamp
The VASE holding these PINK flowers was another treasure from my mother.

And, finally....

Happy Pink Saturday, BJ. I am so glad you joined us today, and I hope you will participate again.

I love your pink things. The shaving mug is just beautiful. I have an aunt that has a collection of shaving mugs.

Maybe you could figure out a way to make your door thingy something to feed ribbon or string through.

Praise God for Deena. She is a shining example to all of us.

Good morning BJ, I enjoyed all of your PINK stuff. I do agree, the door thing is not appealing. What were you thinking?:) I would bet something came over you when you saw it.
Good news about Deena. Thank the Lord!

More pink stuff to see.

Morning BJ! I love all your little pinkies. One thing I'm thrilled about is - I see something of your I have myself! In your picture of the little sweet plate that was your Mothers - the dinner plate behind it - white with the yellow, blue, pink and green border! A friend gave me two of these plates that belonged to her mother. I've looked at antique shops and junk shops for more plates or just other pieces to this set,but to no avail! So you know the pattern or anything else about them? Thanks, you're the greatest. Shelia ;)pp

That's a lovely little collection that you shared :) The plates are really pretty. I wish I had some of the things that I gave away years ago...but then again where would I put them. Your displays look great!

Happy Pink Saturday.

take care,
Dawn

Your "ugly duckling" actually looks kind of cool to me, but I like shabby chic kind of stuff. Can't wait to see what she comes up with!

I love the Pink post. I have so many things in pink, and can you believe until a few years ago I hated pink and had nothing in my house or to wear that was pink? Now its one of my favorite colors!Blue will still always be my fave though.
