BUTTERFLY KISSES

This is a photo of my daddy and I when I was about 10

Mom and Dad divorced when I was 7 and Mom and I moved far away.....
I, of course, not only became separated from my DAD
but also all of my aunts, uncles, cousins, and
my Grandpa
They all lived about 400 miles from where I lived and I was able to go spend a week or so in the summertime with Dad and my family. (My mother was a very smart, kind and understanding mom that never, ever tried to keep my dad from seeing me. For this,
I THANK MY SWEET MOTHER)
I missed my family.....my dad and all the others....I was just a little girl and didn't understand the
WAYS OF THE WORLD yet.
HOWEVER,
GOD was watching from above and knew I needed some HELP
SO, HE just up and sent me ANOTHER family.....
ANOTHER DADDY
more cousins, aunts and uncles.
and
not only did HE gift me with all these people....

THEY LOVED ME
AND
in no time at all...I LOVED THEM

There's just not too many little girls in this world that had such a gift as I....
Not one but TWO wonderful dads

This is my step-father with my daughter on her wedding day.

I never even thought about him being my STEP-DAD...He was ALWAYS just
DADDY
He was the kindest, sweetest, funniest and most loving dad in the entire world and I miss him so much I could just die.
***********
FOR MY DAD
"Oh, with all that I've done wrong,
I must have done something right...
To deserve your love every morning
And butterfly kisses at night."

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY
to two very loved
DADS

I am wishing all of you happy times with the men in your life, be it your dad, hubby, grandfather, son/s, sons-in-law, grandsons or friends.

You are very fortunate to have had a second chance at having a father who loved you. My parents were divorced when I was three and I have no memory of his side of the family and very little memory of my father.

I know they both must have loved you very much.

I'm missing my daddy, too.

Happy Father's Day to the men in your life.

Beautiful Father's Day post, BJ!

J is "stepdad" to my girls. They are very close to both their dad's and love them so much. This relationship has been good for our entire family and especially J, who needed his "daughters" and grandchildren very much.

Thanks for this post and have a wonderful Sunday!

All I can think to say is, you were so lucky to have had a second chance, and a second family. And I am so truly envious. But thankful that miracles are out there!

What a lovely tribute to your two Dads!

And your pink post yesterday was filled with wonderful goodies! I loved the pink shabby door plate! I would have attached that to a birdhouse and added a vintage crystal door knob...Now I am going to go hunting for one!
Hugs,
Penny

What a wonderful tribute. I am especially missing my Dad today even though it has been almost 35 years since he died unexpectantly at a very young age.

This is the first time that I "happened upon" your blog. I am new to the world of blogging and feel blessed to have "met" so many wonderful women.

Your post about your two dads is so sweet. You are a lucky person to have such positive experiences in the face of divorce. Your daughter is beautiful in her wedding photo. It is wonderful to be loved that much.
