THIS is our television cabinet for our small screen tv....and, I LOVE this cabinet....(OOPS...I didn't get that lower door shut good when I took this)
We've had it so long, it's like part of the family.....(which is my point here)
See that SMALL television set in there ?WELL....
THIS is what we would REALLY like to have......
SOMEDAY...............
*SIGH and *DOUBLE SIGH
Well, we will use the one we have...the one that is like family......
until it stops working !
We were taught to "waste not...want not" and that
"you better be glad you have THIS"
soooo....we won't just DO AWAY with the small, O.L.D. television....
maybe banish it to a back bedroom, tho ????

My brother wanted to buy us a new big flat screen TV. I said NO we already have a TV in most of the rooms now so why go to that expense when we dont need it. Am I crazy or what! He offered me a flat screen and I didn't take it? What's wrong with me!!

Good morning bj. Once again, here is a surprising fact about your life that is so familiar. when I saw your cabinet this morning, you just cracked me up with the whole new TV thing. I have a cabinet so close to the same one and our constant conversation is about the "new TV cabinet dilemma". I would not only loose my wonderful cabinet that I love, I would HAVE to have a 'just as beautiful' cabinet to house the huge new TV. Now my husband's dream of a FOOTBALL TV costs us twice as much as the TV.
I have no idea when this will happen, I hope it will be a long time!

We are using our 'old' TV's until they quit. Our main TV probably will go forever but we'd love to have a bigger one, too.
I love the scheduled posting feature on Blogger now. I've used it a couple of times and it works! I have something set up and ready to go for this weekend. It sure makes it nice for getting ahead of special things we want to post on certain days.

I want one too!!! Although I have kinda gotten away from watching TV - if I'm home i'm either on the internet or reading or cooking or cleaning, until I get distracted by one of the above!!!
But they are nice....they just look so modern - maybe I could paint it white......!!!

I have a big screen tv dream too, just at a smaller size. I would love to have a fireplace on the north wall in my family room with a flat screen above it, and a pretty picture that can fit over it to hide it when not in use. Not going to happen soon though, and I will make do with the tv I got at a garage sale last summer for $50 after the old one died! Actually, its a pretty nice tv!
