A BEAUTIFUL NEW AWARD.......

I am so honored to receive this lovely ARTE Y PICO award....and especially honored because the lovely RHONDI at ROSE COLORED GLASSES thought I was deserving of such an award.
So many thanks to you, RHONDI.....I will display it proudly.

*****************************************

I'm sorry to be "hung up" on this little bird family but.......

I've never been this close to a nest before with a good camera and I've enjoyed watching this little one grow......
SO FAST !!!!!
FOUND the pretty egg APRIL 12TH

BABY HATCHED OUT APRIL 19TH

(you have to click on the picture to enlarge to see the little, tiny sweet baby)
PICTURE TAKEN APRIL 25TH
Only 6 days later, that baby is a LOT bigger.

I had NO idea little birds grew that fast.....I must really lead a sheltered life !

Looks like the mom is about to smash the baby..

Sometimes when I look at them, the mom is standing up, just above the baby...to give it some air, I suppose...

Taken TODAY, 27th

I haven't done research to find out how old the baby must be before it trys to fly...

I DO know that I will miss them both !!

Blessings, bj

Congratulations on your award, BJ. You deserve it! Your 'baby' has grown so much. The wonder of God's creation and His design for little ones to grow and go out on their own. I'm sure you will miss the sweet friends who adopted your home for a time. Perhaps next year Mama Dove will return to honor you with another miracle of birth and growth. ~Adrienne~

Good Morning BJ,
The little dove is so precious and I had no idea they grew that fast either. I learn something new everday. Sorry I haven't been around to visit, but after I posted last Wednesday, I got busy and then my DH got home Thursday morning and then our oldest daughter's birthday was on Thursday and we had ballgames and then her birthday party on Saturday. I did put up a new post this morning and even put some pictures on there as well. I did get your card you sent me. "THANK YOU" so much for the nice card. It was so sweet of you to send it to me. I don't check our mail everyday. I usually check it about once a week. LOL. Seems like all we ever get is bills and junk mail and I'm in no hurry to get all those bills. LOL. "CONGRATULATION'S" on a very well deserved Award. You do deserve every award you receive. I am still having some coffee this morning as I made another pot. I only got 2 cups out of the first post because I had to share it with my DH before he left out this morning. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Hi BJ, thanks for sharing the dove pictures. Every year we wait for March and the arrival of our "little yellow bird." She nests in the same place, and our lives are richer by being able to watch her and then hear the babies. Then one day it's too quiet and we know they have flown away. But you know what? It's worth that sad feeling of missing them because watching their little world for a time, and waiting for next year is an amazing thing!!! Love, ksarra

Hi Bj! You are so deserving of that award with all your beautiful decorating ideas and all the fun things you share, like your little bird! I love birds too and always love to see the nests and how they grow. Hey, run over to http://vintagelinentreasures.blogspot.com/ and see how she is displaying her vintage linens! I know you want to know what you can do with yours and these are some of the best ideas yet:>)

Oh those pictures are wonderful of the baby mourning dove!! I am just loving watching the progression to adult size! We have them here but I have never seen a baby or even a nest, I don't have a clue where they nest here. He sure is growing up quickly!

Be sure to stop by and see my antique hair receivers, I think you will like them!

Congratulations on the lovely award!
