SOME FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT MY CHRISTMAS HOUSE...

KARLA over at KARLA'S COTTAGE is having a "Your Favorite Things About Your Christmas House" today so I wanted to join in all the fun. THANKS, KARLA, for hosting this delightful tour. Be sure to stop by Karla's to follow the trail to some beautifully decorated homes!!

I haven't started my SERIOUS candy making as yet but granddaughter and I did make these Chocolate Bark treats. Some have peanuts, peanuts and marshmallow and Chinese noodles.
I've put all this in the freezer but, you know what? I've discovered it's good frozen solid, too!!
heh heh heh

Just about any kind of Christmas wreath or swag is one of my favorite decorating tools for the season. I just LOVE everything about a wreath!

I like filling my little wall vases that flank a large mirror with candy canes for Christmas....my grand kids like it, too ! :)

My ole Father Christmas! I do love him...so much so that I leave him out year 'round......

This lovely crystal vase was given to me by a sweet, sweet friend of over 50 years...I love it filled with glass balls for the holidays.

My favorite things in the whole, wide world at Christmas are the beautiful, soft, red velvet stockings my mother made for my son and daughter...every bit handmade, hand beaded...the whole 9 yards. This one with the Santa belongs to my son, DAVID (He is 43 now)

This is my daughter's ........

I can't do the beautiful work that my mother could do but the ready-made appliques from the store, on plain stockings make really pretty ones for all the grand kids. Since I have 11, I won't try to show them all right now, tho!! :)

This red velvet door hanger was made by my mother and I use it EVERY Christmas and will for the rest of my life.....I just love it.

All the little pearls, I think, are just beautiful.

Of course, every home should have a kissing ball or two!!

Hand decorated gift bags are another of my favorite things..I use them a lot for decorations. They are little works of art to me!

Isn't this angel bag so cute?
HOPE YOUR CHRISTMAS IS CHEERY AND BRIGHT!
NOTE:
We DID NOT get the snow we were supposed to get, either! I am beginning to wonder about our weather people. Maybe they need to look for another job, better suited for them!!??!! :)

Good Morning BJ,
WOW, what beautiful Christmas decorations you have. I love the stockings your Mother made for your kids. That will be a treasure for sure handed down. They still look like new. She did a wonderful job. I'm sitting here eating a bowl of plain Cornflakes and look what you done and did, made some candy. LOL. Well, after I finish my cereal, I'll have some of that candy to go with my coffee. Everything is just beautiful in your home BJ. One thing tho, I didn't see a picture of your Christmas Tree. I know you have one. When do we get to see it? Well, take care my friend and have a great Wednesday. May God Bless You and Yours. "THANK YOU" for sharing your home with us.

Hugs,
Karen H.

Very lovely…

What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace (Agnes M. Pharo).

Enjoy the Season
