A Pretty Pink Bow and a Pork Steak

Hey, Everyone...

Hope all is well in your world..

I think it's so funny the things that we just fall in love with.

I mean...a $2 pink and white stripe bow wouldn't be something most people would just LUV.....

but I do !!

Silly, I know....but every time I go in my dining room and see the pretty green ivy with
the pretty pink bow, I smile.

...another GOOOOOD breakfast at SWEET NOTHINGS this morning.

 ...a bowl of fresh
BLUEBERRIES...
BLACKBERRIES...
and GRAPES.

....a strong cup of my favorite coffee...
Dunkin Donuts.

Here's where it
goes BAD....

A huge pork chop,
panned fried in a small amt. of oil....

and, even tho I know it's a
heart attack waiting to happen,
I just HAD to make a small amount of creamed gravy over toast.

...and....I KNOW that looks like a glass of WINE..
(is there even a breakfast wine..?)......
but...but....
I can explain....

Strawberry Orange Banana Crystal Light
just TASTES better in an adorable WINE GLASS.....
:>)
"There's that SLIM, CURVY ME on that cute cup again...."

Ya'll have a great day....

xoxoxo
 FOODIE FRIDAY
After frying pork chops, add a little oil to the same
skillet and a spoonful or two of flour...
let it all brown slightly,
then add milk....
always stir gravy with a SLOTTED spatula or spoon.
this will keep lumps from forming in the gravy.
Serve over toast....biscuits....it's good on most ANYthing. :>)
...but  YOU KNEW THAT.
TICKLED PINK FRI.
FEATHERED NEST FRI
HAPPY HOUR FRIDAY
FESTIVE FRI FIESTA
PINK SAT.
SAT. SHOWOFF
WEEKLY TOP SHOT
FAVORITE THINGS SAT.
SEASONAL SUNDAY

This is TOTALLY RANDOM (but it has a PINK rose...)
but just sayin' that this pretty bottle did NOT have
very good wine in it....in fact, it was the WORST wine I've ever tasted...
it was, like, carbonated or something weird....

but the bottle looks so cool with a few fern fronds
in it....

hahhhaaaa....ain't life just the GRANDEST !!!

Glad Mr.Z. does not read you blog. He would expect me to cook him breakfast like that every day. Looks so good and I can make a meal on good old country gravy on bread with lot of pepper sprinkled on top. The pork chop looks great.

I've been on a white sauce kick too... Mine has been over a potato for breakfast. Yesterday it was loaded up with onions and jalapeno! So good, but so bad-Nice to know I'm in good company:@)

One thing for sure, you two eat "high on the hog. No wonder your Mr. Sweet was having problems, you feed him well. Wish I enjoyed cooking like that. I just enjoy eating what others fix.

Now don't laugh, but my gravy is so bad I just don't make it, so thank you for the tips and I will try it again. I love gravy on biscuits and will try my hand at it on Sunday!
I love your pink stripped bow, too! It is a happy touch!

BJ I also drink my drinks in a wine glass. My kids say I drink too much. I have to remind them that it's tea. LOL. Have a wonderful weekend.

There's nothing better than a big ol' pork chop...unless it is accompanied by a pone of corn bread! I love how you find joy in life and I love that pink and white striped bow!

DEAR FRANCY....I so hope you read this because your email is so sweet and since the move, I can't SEND email...I can RECEIVE but not send.
Thanks so much for your kind words.
I love the Goodwill at Wolfforth, too. My daughter lives there and I am only 9 miles away. I also like Salvation Army but they have moved from their store on Slide and 13th and I have no idea where they went.
I've bought most of my furniture pieces at the Catholic Store on 34th...just past Ave. Q. There's a new Goodwill in town but not sure where it is yet....and the Goodwill on 34th.
That's about all I know of.....

I was talking to the butcher the other day. He told me pork steak did not sell well here. That confused me until I realized people probably think you cook it like a beef steak.

Your bow made me smile. I must remember that, I could use a smile.

Dear bj,
the pink & white bow IS really lovely, and I often think that there is no difference in the amount of joy we get from beautiful things - it is not their value, it is their way they please our eyes! Same as a beautiful wine glass for juice - it makes it so stylish! I even fill my yoghurt into avery ancient porcelaine cup, although I have to wash that by hand - I gladly do it, for the joy of using it.

It looks so pretty. I don't care for pork steak, but I love the décor. You have such beautiful taste and are quite talented and putting together lovely table tops.
