A Bright, Cheerful and FUN dining area......

This room IS worth writing home about....

...well, at least for ME !  :>)

Bits and pieces of the dining area in this amazing SUMMER HOUSE...

I know full well that there's waaay too many photos here.
Sorry.....but, I'm so PROUD.....I just can't help it....

This metal and glass table that stood in our living room for years
now adds some character  to our dining area.

It is really such a NOTHING TABLE...very plain and, without the thick glass,
I could pick up the metal table and throw it into the next county....VERY light...
and yet...
it's one of my favorite pieces.

I want to cover those little stools in a burlap......SOMEday..!!

I saw that wine rack on a blog and fell in love...
bought it at WORLD MARKET for less than $30.

I got the idea to put those little stools beneath MY table (bottom left)
from that inspiration Pottery Barn table and stools on the right
.
DEBBIEDOO, WHEN are we going to be doing the COPYCAT CHALLENGE  again...??

I can SO get totally OFF THE SUBJECT.....

Most of the walls in the house have a TERRA  COTTA paint and at first, I was thinking I might not like the color.

I have had WHITE walls
for.ever  so ANY intense color was bound to be so different, it would  FREAK ME OUT.

Turns out, I really am liking this warm color...

I began to embrace that wall color....
picking out natural, neutral colors from the things I have...
and also was surprised to see how other colors like turquoise
REALLY WORKED with Terra Cotta.

The black fridge is behind that white wall with my BLACK AND WHITES ...

I was so glad to find the perfect place for this little piece.

Daughter, Stacy Leigh, gave this to me for my birthday last year and I really, really like it.

With baskets and plants,
it fits right in this
unconventional  house....

I feel many of my olden things just don't really work in this new home of ours.....

which is A.O.K. with me.

I was ready for a change...
sold some of my pieces....
gave others to family....

looking for other furniture pieces that say, "Hey, choose me...I'd look fabulous in that great house."

I put the little adorable OWL PILLOW in with the baskets and ivy and he looks so cute sitting in there.

Daughter in Law, Kathy, gave him to me for Mother's Day.

Such a cheerful little fellow and I love his HEART....
My little cast iron FAIRY GIRL with a couple of bottles I bought in CANTON in May.

It's already been changed out.....LOL

I'm sure it will be changed many, MANY times and
that's the fun part of

NESTING...

I did place that pot of ivy into a crystal bowl and it looks much better...along with the other clear glass.

We have a large tv in this room, too....
we are sooo impressed  !!!...and probably well on our way to being sooo SPOILED.!

...just a few bits and bobs scattered around the dining area..

I found this adorable PEACOCK pillow in the colors of my new
indoor/outdoor rug.

....have I mentioned what a BALL I am having, bringing this beautiful house
along with all the nesting I can possibly muster...??

OOO....did you notice my CAKE sign in the back...???     It looks just perfect there.

.....reds...oranges...greens...golds...turquoise...whites...blues.

I first thought of it as a SUMMERTIME rug...
now I am thinking how bright, fun and warm it will look during the cold WINTERTIME...

My dining table and white chairs are perfect for the room.....
plenty of room to add more leaves to the table....and the two long benches on either side...

Not sure my little bird friends will stay here or fly somewhere else.
For now, they will roost right there.

Every thing is hung with COMMAND STRIPS..

even all my darling black and white photos  !!

Now, may I just say that it took a LOT MORE TIME using those COMMAND strips
than it did using little nails....but I sure am glad not to have a bunch of little holes
in these pretty walls.

 OH, MY....
we are sooo happy with our new NEST....

sooo happy with the way things are working together...

We haven't eaten breakfast here yet but what a delight it will be...
morning sunlight coming thru those 5 windows and the double French doors...
live plants, healthy and glowing...
birds singing...
swimming pool shimmering...
me in my high heels and pearls....
hahhaaaa
O HONEY

(Mr. Sweet and I moved the table and 6 chairs over in the back of a pickup truck...
did I hear you call me a REDNECK....???  hahhhaaaa....)
(and now that I look at it....this MAY be  considered a REDNECK lunch !!)

I just couldn't wait any longer to get that ONE ROOM finished....

one straight and pretty room to go to, amid all the boxes and STUFF stacked every where...
to catch my breath !

This is one of the most delightful, roomy, charming dining rooms I've ever had
AND I AM SOOO HAPPY !!

I unpack a box, then walk to this room and stand and stare at it....
makes my heart skip a beat every time I think...."we are REALLY going to live here".

I can't tell you how pleased I am that so many of my things look right at home in this new wonderment.

I worried a bit about that but....

no need to worry over such trivial things
when one is fluffing a new nest.

I should know that if it's something
I dearly love,
IT IS GOING TO FIT..!!

OOO....I am SO in luv....

I can just feature myself, cooking up a storm back there in that kitchen...
while Mr. Sweet is here at the table.....watching football on tv
with a knife and fork in his hands...

hahhaaaaaa
LIFE  IS  SO  GRAND !
