So cute bj ... my cookie sheets are not black, but look really time-worn. Keep saying I need new ones, but these are already broken-in and I line them with foil or a baking sheet.
Love all your cookies.

For some reason I really, really want a cookie, they just look so yummy.

I sure do not want this summer to come to an end, I have loved every sunny day.

I am holding on to summer for as long as I can, even though my old oven heats the house up too much to bake much of anything without getting too hot in here during summer.

My cookie sheets have even more "patina" than yours. That is ok with me. I cover mine with nonstick foil when I use them anyway. I make baked chicken pieces on mine. I used to make wings, but that got too pricey, so now I just bake thighs, well seasoned with salt, black pepper and poultry seasoning or marjoram.

I am such an impatient person, I seldom make cookies because I always end up eating too much of the cookie dough before getting it onto the sheets and into the oven. So the finished amount of cookies is way less than it should be. I enjoy seeing all of the beautiful cookies you make. How nice to have enough dough left to actually have lots of cookies at the end.

Your cookies look wonderful. Here's a funny for ya - my MIL who is the most precious thing ever, came to stay with my boys when they were little. She threw away my cookie sheets and bought new ones because she didn't like the black cookie sheets. I just think it means they are well loved (and might have some cooked on Pam).

I've never seen a cookie sheet that isn't somewhat black! A clean cookie sheet can't be good....right? I mean doesn't that mean alot of cooking has been going on! Yours are well loved and I am sure so are your cookies!

That cookie sheet is black! LOL I have a pampered chef stone that is nearly black, I've used it so much. And I really like the stones - but they are HEAVY - so getting them out of the oven is a chore when compared to a cookie sheet. And I use a lot of break and bake dough. The kids love it and it's good - and if you put it in the oven yourself it is still home made! ;-)

My grandmothers cookie sheets were black from use, and now some of mine are too! It doesn't hurt a thing, those cookies taste every bit as good:>)

Oh those cookies look wonderful. Can I please have a couple with my morning coffee? I think your cookie sheets are broken in just fine. Keep on making those cookies.
Have special cookie day.

Oh, BJ, that's a sign of love...lol! I have some that are pretty dark, that we have used for years. I just throw some parchment paper on them and keep it moving. I bought a new one from Williams Sonoma a few months ago, and hate to use it because it's 'new'...lol!

I have a couple that look almost like that too! I think I read there is a way to take off all that black stuff, but I ignored it because I knew I wouldn't do it! I just call it "seasoning"!

How are you? It seems like time is flying and I don't know where it is going.

Summertime is waning,so if you have an ice cream maker..you should definitely get it out and make some Pecan ice cream to go with those cookies, don'cha think?
:)
Yep, your kettle is definitely of checkered descent! :) It looks so good dressed up with flowers.

Your cookies look so good. Wish I could have some but know I can not. I still bake at Christmas for the rest of my family. I use parchment paper even on my new cookie sheets. Got rid of all my black ones. Have a blessed day. The days do seem to be flying by. Madeline

=D She didn't believe it? Even I have a black cookie sheet. Does Stacy have a favorite cookie that you bake? I'd love to know what it might be.
