Hello, ya'll...
Mr. Sweet and I LUV going to ROSA'S CAFE & TORTILLA FACTORY..
They have TACO TUESDAY that is SOOO successful...
3 crispy beef tacos
refried beans
spanish rice
two flour tortillas with honey....
all for less that 4 bucks .
I am pretty sure almost every Texas Tech student goes there on Taco Tuesday.
The building is PINK....
They make the BEST flour tortillas you've ever put in your mouth...
Mr. Sweet had his taco plate...
he is SUCH a good sport when I want to take photos....
well...
he's just a good sport, period.
I had Nachos....one of my favorite mexican dishes...
He wanted to take a photo of me but....
I was wearing the same black and pink shirt you've seen me in a thousand times
and I just couldn't put you through it again....
you know how it is with a favorite shirt.....
I reach for it nearly every time we go somewhere....
:)
PINK gumball machine...
pink gumballs
and pink, carved flowers on some of the chairs.
Booths are pink....walls are pink....
I brought my SWEET TEA home with me in my cute PINK CUP...
That's me in my Hawaiian PINK SKIRT and when the light hits me,
I do the HULA HULA DANCE....
which, by the way is TOTALLY RANDOM considering this is a post about MEXICAN FOOD.
One more PINK....
This is one of our dear friends, TY....
the sweetest fella ever.
He is the epitome of
REAL MEN WEAR PINK.
XOXO, bj
BJ,
ReplyDeleteI agree that Mr. Sweet is truly a good sport!!! He's looking quite well, by the way!!!
Love all the "pink" in your post!!!
Have a wonderful weekend, dear friend!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Oh thank you again for bringing back the most wonderful smell in the world...when I was very young my first job was working for a small neighborhood mexican restaurant..when I would work in the mornings, I would come in early and you could smell the tortillas coming off the tortilla machine and the ladies making those wonderful tortillas, corn and flour...we would sell them in the front...The smell is the most delicious smell ever, like baking break...yummy
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfectly executed PINK day, bj. Love the fella in the pink shirt and the "fella" that you dined with- xo Diana
ReplyDeletecute gumball machine
ReplyDeleteCute post, BJ! Happy Pink to you and Mr. Sweet.
ReplyDeleteWe have one in Fort Worth....maybe that's where Mother and I will lunch next week! My sister's grands love that place and she and her husband would take lunch from there to them at school on Taco Tuesdays.
ReplyDeleteThey need to open a Tortilla Factory in Philly, it would be a big hit! Happy Weekend:@)
ReplyDeleteTotally with you re Real Men and pink, lol. The tortillas look wonderful. Happy PS from the UK!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had been with you. What a pretty, fun - and delicious place.
ReplyDeleteI officially appoint you The Pink Queen For The Day. Happy Pink Saturday my pink and darling friend.♥♥♥
Awww...Mr. Sweet really is a honey and all with that cute grin, too. You couldn't put us through it? That sounds like John with his purple striped shirt or his mustard plaid one. Cute post...made me grin!
ReplyDeleteWish they would put a Tortilla Factory in our town and it could be next to the Cheesecake Factory that I've been wanting. Oh dear...I would be in hog heaven.
ReplyDeleteBalisha
I am now going to google to see if they have a Tortilla Factory remotely close to me.
ReplyDelete(And I giggled about the favorite shirt. I have one too, and it always seems to be the one I'm wearing when the camera comes out!)
What a great meal - nothing like that around here. You had me drooling on the keyboard!
ReplyDeletei totally agree with you there - real MEN wear pink. so true. ( :
ReplyDeletehave a great weekend.
I always love some good fresh Tex-Mex! Several years ago as we drove across Texas, I made it my mission to try a different tomatillo sauce in a different restaurant each day. Sally
ReplyDeleteLove all the pink,BJ. Mr. Sweet is a real sweetie for posing :)
ReplyDeleteYour nachos look really good. I like them too.
Have a wonderful week-end. Blessings, Becky
Yum, the Mexican food sounds so good. I love the stuff!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to show this post and the last pic to my hubby. I bought him a beautiful coral shirt a couple of years ago and he still hasn't worn it. What's funny is the same year, when they have their annual meeting (elec coop) with the consumers that he has to attend, they give the linemen shirts to wear for the occasion and guess what color his shirt was? Yep, coral!! LOL!!
Enjoy your weekend!
Looks like you and Mr. Sweet are having a good time. Love all the pink. When we go to our Mexican Restaurant, I most always order chicken nachos, only a half-order and still cannot eat all of them. Never eaten in a Rosa's Cafe, as we don't have one here. Thanks for sharing your fun evening.

Looks like both those guys are comfortable enough in themselves to let you take pics and post them, pink shirt or no!
ReplyDeleteI love pink, tried to convince myself that it wasn't very fashionable for a while then thought who cares, I like it. Don't you just love getting to the point where what others think doesn't bother you any more?
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your post with all the pink.
Diana
Oh my! That sounds so delicious. I immediately checked but no locations near us. Sigh. I will keep my eyes for it if I ever go to Texas though, that's for SURE! Thank you and Happy Pink Saturday
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Sounds like you had a great time with the Pink Man!
ReplyDeletePink is good.
ReplyDeleteBut red and white are better. Just saying. Kisses.
Ooo, I ♥ Nachos, too, but without those HOT peppers...no sireee, can't handle those! I tease Earl's Mom, Lynn, all the time about all the hot stuff she adds to her cooking.
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing your honey chowing down on some delicious Mexican food.
When we used to visit my baby sis in AZ, we would OD on authentic Mexican food. She knew just where to pick up homemade, fresh tortillas. I wonder if she gets them in Maui now?? LOL
Hugs & Happy Sunday, BJ,
Rett
Oh BJ, I loved this pink post. And I love crunchy tacos too! :) That plate of nachos looks soooooo good! How are you? Hope these are well and dandy. :) Happy happy Pink Saturday xo
