Hi, Everyone...
My beautiful little grandgirl, DEEDS, loved Michael Jackson.
She thought he was sooo talented, which I did, too.
She was devastated when he passed away in 2009.
She listens to his music all the time.
Aug. 29th was his 55th birthday.
When DEEDS came home from school on that day, her sweet and thoughtful mother, STACY,
had bought a Strawberry Cake Mix, Michael's favorite,
and had everything ready when Deeds got home to make
MICHAEL JACKSON a BIRTHDAY CAKE.
This act of love, thoughtfulness, kindness and tenderness of my sweet girl
made me cry with happiness that GOD chose ME to be her earthly mother.
To say the least, our girl, Deeds, was beyond happy to do this in honor of
Michael Jackson.
It meant the world to her and she means the world to her mama.
Sometimes, the smallest things can mean the most to those we love.
I wish I had strong enuf words to express how much you are loved, Stacy....
by your dad and I...
your brother...
your husband....
your kids...
your family .....
your friends....
everyone that knows you....
and mostly by GOD Himself.
And, of course, I have to say that you are DROP DEAD GORGEOUS
right along with that big, kind heart of yours.
(those double dimples don't hurt anything, either :)
I love you to the moon and back and then some !!
xoxo, your mama
such a sweet post about your girls, bj. they are absolutely beautiful and so full of love. I feel the same way about my daughter. My love grows stronger for her every day, watching her be a grown up now that she is 25. She is trying to figure out grown up things and I am so proud of her. I have to confess, I go crazy on Tom Jones birthday and have wanted to make him a cake too. Think I may do that next time. Would you believe my DIL's birthday is on TJs? I don't think she likes that...but he is (just as) important to me too. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh how beautiful! Sweet and gorgeous Daughter doing something small that was HUGE! Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteI can hear your love in your words BJ. You have that skill. I know the feelings well with 4 daughters and 2 sons. Words cannot describe the feelings sometime. Blessings to you and your family. Deeds has a kind heart something that is sadly missing in some kids today.

Such sweetness...
ReplyDeleteThat was so sweet and thoughtful. I'm sure Deeds will always remember this. Hope things are going well with a possible contract on your home. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet and precious.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post, BJ! These are the memories that will last a lifetime; and that type of love filters down for generations.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter sounds like you kind and very thoughtful. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! Michael Jackson was amazingly talented. And I don't believe any of the rumors about him. I love kids myself and would have a theme park mansion and have kids over all the time myself if I could afford to. Making little people happy makes perfect sense to me. Selfish people just don't get it.
ReplyDeleteHi, that was so sweet! I love this blog post and your daughter was so thoughtful to bake a cake in honor of Michael Jackson. Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

If you ask me, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree;>)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful girls...must take after mom/grandma!

Now THAT is one good, caring, loving Mom. It's hard to believe that Michael Jackson would be 55! I don't think he, like so many other celebrities, could have stood the thought of growing old. We will always remember him as forever young and forever talented.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter IS beautiful. I think she looks like you! xo Diana
You have a beautiful, loving, thoughtful family because the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

So gl;ad that everything is going great for you.
Have a Happy happy weekend.

ReplyDeleteThat was such a caring and loving thing to do...baking a MJ birthday cake! Your daughter is beautiful, inside and out. Deeds is a little beauty, too. She has such a sweet smile.
Have a wonderful weekend!
That was such a sweet gesture. She takes after her mother. You are the best, too, BJ.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwww, this totally melts my heart!!
ReplyDeleteDaughters. Mine make my life. I will always, ALWAYS have four daughters!
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is beautiful! Deeds is going to be as gorgeous as her Mommy and her Grandma and I think all have hearts to match.

Love, love LOVE dimples! Both of them are so lovely, BJ!
ReplyDeleteI am sooooooo excited that your home is sold. Hallelujah! God bless the process as it goes forward....praying smooth and uneventful sale and move!
And isn't it a wonderful blessing to have a handy hubster?
You are soooooo correct. She is drop dead gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI know she is much loved.
I feel sadness that Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley allowed their candle burn out way too early.

BJ,
