Bits and Bobs (about moving)

HEY HEY, Everybody.

It looks like we are going into contract on the sale of our house....
More on that later.

Our darling little SUMMER HOUSE doesn't have a place for a washer and dryer...

well, it has the pipes and "stuff" .....all plumbed for them.

Just not a closet to house them,
so, MR. SWEET is going to
turn on the magic in those hands of his and build an awesome area in a huge closet,
 right off the master bedroom.

Our new STACKABLE  washer and dryer was delivered a few days ago...

I couldn't get it turned around to show you the front but, trust me....

it's COOL.

The photo on the right is from LOWES web page...and it's the one Mr. Sweet bought.

I am so excited.......

A plumber has to come "hook everything up"...
then the building of the utility closet can begin....
*He came today and it's all hooked up...
Mr. Sweet will finish the closet next week.....hopefully. :)

next, we'll cut out the carpet and lay tile in the tiny closet.
See that little stackable unit there ...ours will be tucked into a little closet like this
but a cabinet to the LEFT instead of the right.

THEN.....

because our sweet SUMMER HOUSE has ONE bath...
(remember.....the urinal...??? hahhaa...)
Mr. Sweet is building a dressing table with sink in that wonderful, huge closet off the master bedroom.

I want it to look as much like the above photo as I can get it....
but not quite as fancy....after all, I'm pretty much a country girl.

The cabinet with the SINK will be between the washer/dryer closet
and the dressing table.

............soooo cool.

I have a great chair that I can change out the slipcover in a jiffy.

Now, I am on a mission to find the most beautiful mirror I can possible find....
and, afford....
wonder where to search for a STUNNING  mirror on the cheap...???
Maybe a plastic, ornate, LARGE one that I could paint with Annie Sloan
turquoise....or silver.....
Omygosh.....I am hyperventilating....

I just saw one on a blog and can't, for the life of me, remember which one...painted turquoise.....
O, it was a beauty.

I don't know how to describe this "closet" room....I'll take a photo soon.
Right now, it is totally messed up with the building of the utility closet....
(the photo on the left is from the net)

It is actually a room  with multiple  closets...
big...
12 x 20, people....!! wow

Much like this photo, only the individual "closets" have doors.

This little thoughtful addition of the dressing table with sink is going to be so nice...and handy..
we have a wonderful bath with a shower and we see no need to go to the expense
of adding another bath....
at least for now.

We would have to put in a septic system or something like that to
make a complete bath..
There is plenty of room for adding a bath but it is
waaay too expensive and we'll do GREAT with one bath...
especially with a nice dressing area for moi.

I did a little more shopping the other day....
nothing expensive...
just some of the little things that make a difference..

...three new pillows for the master bed....
the two large ones from ROSS...they are really neat pillows...
I think they were $6.95 each...

The little pillow, full of whimsy, came from WORLD MARKET and it was $9.
I shared it with you before.....

I think the pillows will blend in good with the touches of turquoise/aqua.

I am so excited about using this great color.

In fact....I am just plain excited about this whole new chapter in our lives....
colored with TURQUOISE....

O HONEY

One of the grandgirls, LACEY JEAN,
is moving into an apartment with friends as she enters her 2nd year of college....

She, too, is loving this awesome COLOR......

This is an end table she bought for her new apt.
I MUST find where she bought it....
like GrandGirl....
like Grandmother....!!
hahaaa.....

*another NOTE...
found out it belongs to her BFF  and roommate, and she told me just where she bought it....:>)

  4. First off-I am so so so very happy that your cardiology reports were good. That is the best news of all! I am excited for you to really get into your new house and love on it. That "closet" sounds awesome. Years ago EVERYONE got by with ONE bath and no one thought a thing about it. You will do just fine!

Hope you can find an awesome mirror. I saw one not too long ago. Probably not the one you saw but here is the link to it-

  21. Got rid of the dryer altogether by using the washing line almost all the time. on the odd occasion I can not get washing and dry weather to meet I use a fold up cloths horse. Saves loads of electricity.
