Lavender Dreams

Hello, everyone...

BOY...this summer has passed so fast.

It seems I just posted JULY note cards and here it is....

 time again for
 VEE'S NOTE CARD PARTY

 LAVENDER  DREAMS

"As Rosemary is to the Spirit,
so Lavender is to the Soul."
Anonymous

" Ladies fair, I bring to you
lavender with spikes of blue;
sweeter plant was never found
growing on our English ground."
Caryl Battersby

" Womanist is to feminist as purple is to lavender."

" There's a few things I've learned in life: always throw salt over your left shoulder, keep rosemary by your garden gate, plant lavender for good luck, and fall in love whenever you can."

I was unable to link with VEE on this post as before it published, I had to make a tiny trip to
the hospital and just got home today, 8/22.

  11. Love this!! I can't decide which is my favorite. I think it's a tie between the last two. I not only love the note cards, but I love the quotes that go with them.

The last quote is my very favorite.

    WONDERFUL!! So glad I came!

  12. Cute cards! And I think this is the first time I've ever called anything with a shoe stretcher "cute". LOL Anyway - try this for burlap. LOTS of ideas: http://pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=burlap%20crafts&rs=ac&len=12

  17. hi BJ! Somehow this post isn't linked. Since you may have planned it that way, I won't intervene and pop you in.

  20. ...lately, as with your turquoise color, these days I've been buying anything scented 'lavender'. It's such a pleasing odor.

  23. Hi again bj...you wrote: "My sister-in-law, Ruth L. Grundy, was head librarian of the Marine Biology Research Center at the Univ. of Texas, there in Corpus for many years." This is ironic in a way...in fact just this past week I was reading a PDF file of the MSI in Port Aransas written by a Ms. Grundy and I'm wondering if that is possible it's the same as your SIL....but it was Port Aransas. I'm not sure if I know of the Marine S. Institute in Corpus tho, where is it? Does it also have a library?

PS...hope you'll soon feel well again. I know you said it's 'nothing'...but all health issues are serious. Be well quickly.

Though I tried to reopen Mr. Linky, he had other ideas. I did add your sweet post to the bottom of my post, but now I think that I'll add it to the top. =D
