DiCAPRIO

O HONEY

He is ONE of my very favorite actors.

The first movie I saw him in was
 "WHAT'S EATING GILBERT GRAPE"
made in 1993.

Since JOHNNY DEPP is my all-time favorite actor,
I went to see the movie for HIM...
I didn't even KNOW about Leonardo DiCaprio.

It is an EXCELLENT movie.

Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio  born November 11, 1974) is an American actor and film producer. He has been nominated for the Golden Globe Award nine times as an actor, and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his performance in The Aviator
*************************************************
This is a great movie....
.....about the legendary  HOWARD HUGHES.

You will like this movie if you know the story of  MR. HUGHES .....

I guess most every one on the planet has seen TITANIC...

I've lost count of how many times I'VE seen it.

Such an excellent movie.

This is one of his early movies and was REALLY,
REALLY good.

He plays a double role in this one....

I drove to East Texas a few years ago to visit with cousins.
The first night I was there, my cuzz, Michael, wanted to know if I'd seen this movie.
"Nope"
so he rented it for us.

I loved every minute of it...

We saw this L.D. movie while we were on the cruise ship at sea, on our Alaskan cruise.

This one took a lot of CONCENTRATION
to keep up and
it kept me sitting on the edge of my seat....

I LOVE movies that provoke SOME kind of emotion...
funny
sad
romantic
SCARY.....
To the best of my remembrance, THIS one sure didn't have anything FUNNY or ROMANTIC about it.

THIS ONE is Mr. Sweet's favorite DiCaprio movie.

 CATCH ME IF YOU CAN...2002
A true story about Frank Abagnale Jr., who, before his 19th birthday, successfully conned millions of dollars' worth of checks as a Pan Am pilot, doctor, and legal prosecutor.

This is a really delightful movie....I've seen it about 3 times...

THE GREAT GATSBY....

*heavy sigh

Altho this one started off kind of WILD...
it became a WONDERFUL movie that I cried my eyes out in.

O, yes, if you are a Leonardo
fan, you  MUST see this one.

I saw the original Gatsby with
*gulp
ROBERT REDFORD
...it, too, was an excellent movie.

These are just a handful of DiCaprio movies...
I am on a mission to see every single movie he made/makes.

*******
Since the 2000s, DiCaprio has been nominated for awards for his work in such films as Catch Me If You Can (2002), Gangs of New York (2002), The Aviator (2004), Blood Diamond (2006), The Departed (2006), Revolutionary Road (2008) and Django Unchained (2012). His films Shutter Island (2010) and Inception (2010) rank among the biggest commercial successes of his career.[2] DiCaprio owns a production company named Appian Way Productions, whose productions include the films Gardener of Eden (2007) and Orphan (2009). A committed environmentalist, DiCaprio has received praise from environmental groups for his activism.

I hope you have a great evening....
I know....go rent a DiCaprio movie, pop some popcorn, open a bag of M&M'S
and a BIG CHERRY COKE...
XOXO bj

I am thinking of taking a few days off from blogging...
not sure yet, tho.

He's one of my favorite actors, too! I would love to see this latest movie. I'm sure the clothes are amazing, too! What a fun post! Enjoy your week...whether you take off or not! Sweet hugs!

I too love Leo - just saw The Great Gatsby and he was wonderful.

Leo's aunt rented our home (long before we owned it) and she said he used to play at the house when he was a little boy. Too bad he didn't sign something when he was 4 and leave it for us to find.

I've seen two of them...Titanic and Catch Me If You Can. Looks as if I might have some catching up to do. I do remember my daughter saying how good What's Eating Gilbert Grape is. I thought you were already taking a break. ; D

Well, you feel about Mr. DiCaprio the way I feel about Audie Murphy...and William Holden...and Robert Ryan...and James Cagney...and Montgomery Clift...and on and on it goes. Yes, I am in love with 10 dead guys, just as you are in love with Leo.

I'm pretty sure the only one of his films I've seen is Titanic. I considered seeing J. Edgar, but I haven't done so yet. What did you think of that?

I have said a hundred times that the only actor who could have done the remake of Gatsby was Leonardo. He was the perfect choice. I have yet to see it (usually wait for rental), but I know he's just excellent in the role. I loved Catch Me If You Can, too.

He's a favorite of mine, too.

My husband and I have Catch Me If You Can on dvd and love it! We also loved Shutter Island. My husband liked Inception but I couldn't figure it out at all. Have you seen Marvin's Room? It's from the 90's so Leo was very young in it but it was really good!

I enjoyed Catch Me If You Can, too. I loved Redford as Gatsby so much that I haven't yet convinced myself to see the new release.

I haven't seen all his movies, but he is a wonderful actor. I need to check some of these out! I have the popcorn and soda, but I ate the M&M's last night. :) Enjoy your break!

I haven't seen any of these movies. But then, I'm not really into movies. I'm into kids and grandkids and by the time my kids were big enough to see those films they were too big to want to take Momma along! LOL I guess I'll stick with my princess and fairy movies and of course, the Buddies! Any movie with a bunch of puppies in it is good. LOL

Hi, bj. I've not seen all of his movies but The Man in the Iron Mask is one of my favorites. I haven't seen Gatsby yet. I have to pysch myself up for all the crying. :) Which is inevitable. I ALWAYS cry. If there's the least bit of a chance for it...I cry.
