A review of Watermelon Pie

Hi, All....

Watermelon season is here once again.

I found a new recipe using WATERMELON.....

I couldn't wait to try it....

I made it today and may I just say...

So light and fluffy and......PINK.
It's one of those "get outa town" least for me.

I've never tweaked a watermelon before...always just ate it like everyone else...
by the slice or by the cut-up pieces.

Watermelon just doesn't seem to "go" in a PIE but, it is pretty darn good.

......just different.

If you like WATERMELON, you will absolutely LUV this pie.

Very easy to make...

I used a store-bought GRAHAM CRACKER CRUST and it was delicious.

Mr. Sweet especially likes WATERMELON so he is lovin' this pie.

Strawberries with Strawberry gelatin would be
OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. good, too.
Strawberries being MY  favorite....yep, I'm making it next.

It sure made a  PRETTY pie....

Creamy Watermelon Pie

1 pkg. watermelon gelatin

1/4 c. boiling water

12-oz. frozen whipped topping, thawed

2 c. watermelon, seeded & cubed

1 graham cracker crust

In   a large bowl, dissolve the gelatin in boiling water. Cool the mixture   to room temperature. Whisk in the whipped topping and fold in the cubed   watermelon. Spoon mixture into crust. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until   set.
Watermelon is pretty thrifty so this was an inexpensive pie to make.

If you like watermelon and are needing a beautiful pie to take to that picnic
or friends gathering,
THIS just might fit the bill.

I've never had this before, BJ! It looks great!

I love your button in support of the Prescott, AZ firemen. Where did you get it? We used to live in Scottsdale, and I remember fires, but nothing like this one. It has hurt my heart, and I feel so badly for the families.

I have made this pie...but my family wasn't jumping over the moon. It is a pretty pie though!

This looks beautiful, cool and refreshing! Do you cut the cubes very small...I didn't see chunks and that's a good thing. Hmmmm...may just try it for the 4th!

I'm not a huge fan of watermelon but that pie just might convert me!

I love watermelon and the pie looks tasty but watermelon for me is one of those foods you just don't mess with. I take mine straight with a dash of salt. Might try the pie with strawberries, though.

Mora a case of "shut the front door" pie ahahahah

I love watermelon. Nothing screams and welcomes Summer best in my opinion. I never heard of a watermelon pie, though. Really going to try this. Really, really.

Need to PIN so I won't loose it. Won't tell people it's watermelon when I serve... let's surprise them after the first HUMMMM.

Thank you for sharing, BJ.

It certainly does look beeeeeautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fold in some blueberries, and you almost have a red, white and blue pie, for the 4th. :-)

Or just drop some blueberries, on top of the topping. :-)

Wow, *BJ* you have even me, getting creative. Imagine that! :-))))))))
