A Not So Pretty Pillsbury Recipe.....

Hi, ya'll....

I found this great looking recipe on my FaceBook and  it looked
sooo good to me.
Mr. Sweet and I love this kind of dish..

 The recipe is HERE....

THIS, my sweet friends, was DELICIOUS....

Simple, down-home cookin'.

Are you like me in thinkin' that PLENTY OF CHEESE
makes just about ANYthing
taste awesome..??

This recipe isn't much different than a lot of my old "stand-bys".......
very easy to throw together and very very tasty.

Melty.....
and gooooood......

fire roasted tomatoes....

taco seasoning....

scrambled hamburger meat...

chopped onions, sauteed with Anaheim peppers.....
 The ACTUAL
Pillsbury recipe called for a crust of
CRESCENT  ROLLS...
I didn't have those....but I had PART of a Pillsbury Pie Crust....

Not being one to 'run to the store' for every little ingredient,
I used the partial pie crust and it was GOOD.

I will, however, make this again, using the canned rolls for the crust....
bet it would really be good.

......fresh chopped LETTUCE and a dollop of Sour Cream
and extra Salsa made a dinner we  both enjoyed.

Would have loved to have had fresh CILANTRO

 No tortilla chips...

but I had just done the
"BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE"
bags of Fritoes.

All the tortilla chips in  Lubbock couldn't have made our dinner any better.

  6. Hi bj,

You know it is funny that sometimes the ugly food is the better food, haha. I guess TASTE is all that truly matters - though that delish dish is hardly what I call ugly, truly - it looks great and has me hungry!!

I read your story about the bracelet act of kindness and thought I would tell you that I think you are a very special gal for being so sweet to do that.

Just wow. Totally awesome thing to do for LV at Meme's Corner. Way to go!

  8. The only thing that is important, is how a recipe tastes!!! That's what my family always says, when I moan-and-groan about the looks of something I make.

    YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMM... That's all that counts!!!!!

Please, tell me first! When you "do that something new"! Please. I'll keep thinking about it, till I hear. -gigggggles-

  9. Oh yes, you need ATTITUDE, for this "change."

But you and I, if we don't have ATTITUDE, I don't know who does!!!!

    -more giggggles-

  13. I have always heard it is not how it looks, but how it taste. No doubt anything you prepared would taste good if it fell apart. I will take all leftovers or scraps.

  16. I agree that most anything is better with cheese and tacos are something that I "get hungry for" and after a bad experience at my local taco spot, I only eat my own around here. I actually think the pie crust was a great idea. I always have one left over and sometimes make a quiche. Yours looks better...more filling!!

  17. BJ, it looks yummy. I have a sort of similar recipe with bisquick (probably everyone has it), but I think I really want to try this with the crescent rolls. It just sounds more delicious.

  18. Oooooh, that sounds really, really good. And sure the please the masses around these parts, which isn't always easy to do. I'll have to try it for sure.
