And to YOU, my Dear! It's good to spend a little bit of time reflecting on this day and why it is so precious to we Americans! I was watching the Faces of the Fallen Memorial this morning on the news. Five inch portrait squares of fallen heroes all painted by different artists. Sometimes we forget......and we should NEVER forget!!
You inspired me with your red/white and blue decorations! I am on my last cup of coffee and will be going up in the attic! By afternoon you will be able to tell we are PATRIOTIC Americans around here!

PS....98 degrees up there today? Oh, MY!!!

Hi Bj, We thank all of those who have served for our country. We do miss those who gone before us and pray for those who continue to serve for our country. It is a rainy stormy day here in our part of the country. Hopefully it will have a break in time to have the program honoring our soldiers. I enjoyed your previous post and yes we do miss our dads. Have a great day. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend

A nice tribute to your dad. Mine was never in the service. Had lots of family members that were tho. Fortunately, only one killed in action.

Wonderful photos of your dad! My dad wasn't in the service, but my FIL served in WWII and his brother was a prisoner of war for 3 yrs in the Korean War. My hubby is a Vietnam veteran. Many other relatives served, but thankfully all of them made it safely home. Unlike those precious souls we honor today. My hubby certainly saw many fellow soldiers killed in action and 2 from his small hometown didn't make it home. So sad. We will never forget!!
Have a lovely day. We've had nothing but rain and more rain here today, but we're trying to make the best of it!

I hope You have a great day- what wonderful pictures of Your dad.
Thank You for sharing it.

I lived at Mainz/Wiesbaden some years ago and there I had a car accident when I was pregnant-one very very nice American soldier helped me first-he was so lovely, friendly and so I was not afraid-he still went with the ambulance to the hospital with me and waited there till my husband arrived- every year I remember him and asking me,if he is still alive.

Sorry my English is not so good-so I hope You´ll understand me...
