I think I mentioned that son, DAVID and family couldn't be with the rest of us on the 10th
because of a tract meet.
They took us to dinner at the best Italian place and we had a great time.

We'd intended to get more photos of our kids after eating but the girls had to go somewhere so we waved good-bye, said our "THANKS and we LOVE YOUS"
and headed home.
Mr. Sweet was determined to get a photo of me with the flowers before I put them in a vase...
he likes things like this recorded in the blog for our kids and grands to see and read......
and, so do I.
...."but, Mr. Sweet, my picture has been all over this blog for 2 days now"....
"hold still and let me get just one picture...."
heavy sigh
I so wish I had pictures of my grandmothers...
I do have ONE of EMMA.......
but not of the other.
Not many photos of my granddads, either. :(
It was so much fun to get together with son and family...always !!
and this is the LAST
BIRTHDAY/ANNIVERSARY POST......
well...
UNTIL NEXT YEAR.

OH, and JEANNE at BACKYARD NEIGHBOR is about to have their
50th wedding anniversary. It will be NEXT Saturday.
She would be really thrilled if you went by and wished her and Bill
A HAPPY 50TH ANNIVERSARY.
(She even still has her dress and everything.....)
What a cute picture of you in that outfit and those flip-flops! Oh, yes, I noticed them right off. How fun to get together with "the kids" even if it doesn't go on all evening. Now I do expect to see these flowers again in many varied ways. Do I know you or what?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture of you with the flowers AND of all of you loved ones! You are celebrating GANKY style:) We celebrate for days too! Have a blessed weekend dear BJ, HUGS!

ReplyDeleteMy husband loves that restaurant. I could tell from the first pic where you were! We don't get to go there very often, but when we do that is where he always wants to go. I think it's the bread and dip they bring to you that he loves the most!
Best of luck on your home sale!

I have just the opposite kind of guy. He doesn't want any photos of us in my blog, that anyone would recognize. I guess he thinks the bogeymen would come and get us or something! LOL! I sneak in some older photos once in a while or a profile shot. You look beautiful in your photo and I love the outfit! You have a terrific family and I'm glad you're having such fun! Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi BJ..you look so pretty with your flowers! Looks like everyone had a great time.

ReplyDeleteI think the pictures are such a wonderful idea. Have you had your blog made into a book yet? I am soooo far behind, but I want to get them all done for my kiddos too!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely family and you are so terrific looking that is why that honey hubby snaps your photo! He is a man who knows a good thing and has had the pleasure of your company for all these lovely years!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family you have. Your flowers were just beautiful and you have a very thoughtful husband.
ReplyDeleteYou will always be grateful for having the photos.
Judy
That was so sweet of your Mr. Sweet to want to get your picture. You look pretty in your cute outfit and shoes holding your anniversary bouquet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family! It looks like everyone was having so much fun.
I like it when people have pictures of themselves and other family members on their blogs. It makes me feel like we are all neighbors. As I write that, I realize that I don't have many pics of myself on my blog, because I very seldom ever like the way I look in pictures.
Happy Anniversary!
Best wishes,
Susie @ Persimmon Moon Cottage
Hello Bj, Thank you for the sweetest anniversary wishes. I laughed when you wrote from Jeanie and Bill. it is a hoot that we have our names in common and we were married in the same month of the year.
ReplyDeleteLots of excitement going on in your neck of the woods. Family who love each other and adore their parents and grandparents is such a tribute to you both. This does not just happen. Your loving family is a direct result of how they were raised. Happy birthday to Mr. Sweet and Happy Anniversary to you both. You have been wined and dined and rightly so. Smile. I love your photo of beautiful you bj. Your flowers are lovely too. No wonder your hubby wanted a photo of his pretty wife. Your outfit is striking too.
I laughed when you said this is the last post about your anniversary and birthday boy. I feel like our anniversary has been going on since our Dec. cruise. Finally, the big day is a week away. I daresay there will be at least one more post of the party. HA!
Special blessings to you and your darling family.
Love, Jeanne
Jean, nothing wrong with carrying on a celebration as long as you can, lol. Loved the pictures, you have a beautiful family!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!
Barb

ReplyDeleteGreat picture of you and the flowers.
ReplyDeleteImpressed that husband wanted the day documented with a picture for the blog. I'm not sure my husband would think of that.
I know what you mean about pictures of the grandparents. I wish I had more of them and of some of my cousins. I learned last night that a cousin was killed as a result of a car crash. I remember him dragging me around with him to all kinds of things. He's about 10 years older. May he rest in peace.
