Beans

Hi, Everyone... Hope your weekend was a good one.
We had another OPEN HOUSE and had 2 really good prospects.
They both are to get back with us after talking to their bankers.

After this next weekend OPEN HOUSE,
since we haven't had as much traffic as we'd like,
we will list with a realtor.

I made the BEST
Warm Bean Dip
for our fellowship gathering on Sunday.

I can not, for the life of me, remember where I got the recipe. I THOUGHT I got it off PINTREST but I can't find it now.

Mr. Sweet had to mix it all together for me because of my WOUND...
I've had a lot of blood blisters in my time, but THIS one was the Granddaddy of them all...
and, boy, it is soooo sore.

Everyone really liked this..
and I'll be making it again SOON.

                          WARM BEAN DIP
1 (8oz) Softened Cream Cheese
1 full cup Sour Cream
2 cans (16oz) refried  Beans
1 pkg. Taco Seasoning Mix
2 cups Chedder Cheese
2 cups Monterey Jack
Mix all BUT THE CHEESE...place in 9x13 dish..
sprinkle Cheese on Top...
350 oven for about 25 minutes

The bean dip and fruit salad look yummy. That blood blister does look sore, I've never see one that big or in a round circle.

Yummy bean dip and even yummier fruit salad. I LOVE real whipped cream! Hope your blood blister heals quickly - it looks nasty.

Your sunshine-y yellow striped background and that little bee in the header are so bright and pretty. Isn't real-whipped-into peaks whipped cream one the best tasting things in the world? Your fruit salad reminds me of the way my mom used to make it. She always made it for dessert after Easter dinner.

Bj, The bean dip looks great. I always look forward to your desserts. I hope that blister doesn't stay too long. That does look like it really hurts. Ouch!

Oh, yum! This sounds so good, BJ! I'm petty sure I've made this recipe before, but it's been a good long time.

I remember so well those days of the "Open House!" I can't remember now how many there were, but I even made a huge pot of chili for our realtor to serve to potential "lookers" and to other agents to help get the ball rolling. This was just slightly over two years ago. We put our home on the market in late January '11 & sold it in mid-June. What's really funny is that the first couple who looked at it, ended up being the ones who bought it. I later found out from our realtor that the wife had fallen in love with it, but her hubby insisted that they look at EVERY other condo or townhouse that was available. The same couple came back for four different visits! You just never know who your buyer is going to be. I'm keeping positive thoughts for you, BJ. I hope it happens very soon for you!

Hi bj, Yes our 50th is April 20th. My gosh as if we don't have enough in common, our anniversaries are in the same month. We took our Christmas cruise to celebrate but we are also having a party. Less than two weeks now. It is very exciting and I will share it all soon. I had a post about it last week on Tuesday I think. The posts start running together after this long. Smile.

Your recipe looks delish but you know I am always ready for dessert. This fruit salad is dessert to me. I loved your animal post too. Cute cupcake liners. I made cupcakes on Sat. for a bake sale. The liners were a big hit. I will hate it when I run out. I have a ways to go. HA! Thanks to you!!!

Wishing you the best of luck selling your darling home. Have you moved into your new home yet?

Love, Jeanne

You are something else! Even with a bad blister, you still are doing and cooking. I doubt you have ever prepared anything that did not turn out perfectly. In time, things will work out for the best.

Sarah said...

BJ, sorry your hand is hurting. Looks like that fruit salad with all that fluffy whipped cream is just the thing to make it feel better. '-)

How in the world did you do that? Oh my! That does look sore.,

Okay, getting back to the food. You have a way of making me very hungry and you even have sent me to the store a few times!

Yay for two good prospects! Hope that one of them flies!

Your did sounds amazing, dear friend!!! My MoMa made an easy fruit salad using Del Monte Fruit Cocktail drained and then the home whipped heavy cream with sugar and vanilla!!! I agree, MoMa's recipes are the BEST!!!
Good luck with the $ale of your home!!!
