...just trying for even a TINY bit of order

Hi, everyone....
"Once upon a time, a long, long time ago,
things were NEAT around Sweet Nothings.."
nothing much out of order....

It was a short time ago that my kitchen and dining room were NEAT...
CLEAN....
UNCLUTTERED
I can remember when my dining room  VINTAGE mantel was so neat....
not overloaded...just CLEAN, CRISP lines.

Yes, I remember my COPY CAT of the pretty, Layla....

Her mantel was so beautiful
and I knew I had MOST of the ingredients of this almost ALL white...

soooo

my version came out so well.
Thanks, Layla

Then, I played around with different treasures.
It is always so much fun to decorate a fireplace mantel...
just love it...

and, if you are manteless  :)...a large, hefty SHELF works just as good.....
or the top of a piano.
So much fun to decorate at CHRISTMASTIME...
 and
spring and summer brings on a lot more ideas to use in a wonderful
warm-weather
display....

...did I PACK those awesome shoe stretchers....
or
are they on their way to
*gulp....
GOODWILL ?
At the moment, my pretty little vintage fireplace stands
totally NAKED...
just waiting for some KNOCK MY SOXS OFF cuteness....

"Hang on, little faux-as-you-can-be fireplace,
We're gonna get you all decked out again...SOON, I HOPE. "

"This WALL OF LOVE
will adore the space above you and I'll search high and low, SOMEwhere, in SOME box, I will find treasures for your mantel."

You can have candles for earrings...
greenery for your dress...vintage shoe stretchers for your feet...
**************************

Yes, sir...I can remember the day when I wanted something cute for my dining table...

Grabbed a cute basket, Pottery Barn Style, and put some french bread loaves in...with a cute french towel.

hmmm, looks really bare...tacky, if you will.
Telephone : 130.67.39
or is it 180.67.89 ??
hahaaaa....don't ya love it ?

Now, I love Paula Deen, ya'll, but her cookbook just didn't fly here.
OK, then I remembered my loved bread board and.....
Into the basket and
I WAS DONE
for the day.

It will  all happen again...
I WILL get to the point of being able to bring out all my pretties
and DECORATE until my heart's content.....
I WILL............
WON'T  I ...?????
 :>)
Hope ya'll have a blessed week.
xoxo

I know you must just be dying for some normal time. I can't wait for you to be able to fluff and poof to your hearts content. Crossing my fingers that your house sells quickly!

Yep, once you get all settled, you will be able to decorate to your heart's content and everything old will seem new again. That's the beauty of moving. Best wishes, Tammy

Oh, yes you will! We have moved so many times during our military life, I know exactly what you are feeling about right now. I lived 23 years looking inside cardboard boxes for my "pretties". You will get it all done and back to normal very soon. By the way, I am hosting a new Link party today on my blog. I am very excited and scared to death at the same time. LOL Please, stop by if you get a chance. I need all the support I can get! :) Enjoy the rest of your week!

They say "All Good Things Come to Those Who Wait" so you have been waiting and now your almost there and it will be wonderful! Getting to decorate on a clean slate and do all the things you want. HOW FUN is that.. I know your home will sell quickly and then you will have all your things with you.

Have a terrific week!
Mary

Yes, of course you will! And you're going to have a ball doing it, too. Don't forget to share the process.

Such a nice walk down memory lane! I know it seems like it will never happen, but soon enough you will be decorating your new place. Your wall of love has always been a favorite of mine and I can't wait to see it in your new home.

You will get back to normal. We all have our slumps, especially when we have so much to do sometime. You are not alone. Love your mantle with all the black and whites - so creative!

We are with you and God Bless!
