Does anyone here like COBBLER....???

Last week was a hard week for us as we both were sick at the very same time.... Chest colds and just generally feeling YUKKY !! He could sleep better in his recliner and I reclined ON MY BED.

While in that reclining position, I watched PIONEER WOMAN's TV cooking show and she made a
BLACKBERRY COBBLER....
ok, even in my delirious, "I don't want to even THINK about food" state,
that cobbler looked sooo good.

After getting shots and meds, I was feeling a LOT better this morning...
and HUNGRY...
FOR...
COBBLER !!
I didn't have fresh blackberries....

BUT....
as found in my kitchen MOST of the time,

I DID have fresh
strawberries....

> As we all know, there must be a THOUSAND recipes out there for COBBLER...

THIS ONE is more like a little CAKE....with NO juice of any kind.

MY PERSONAL FAVORITE  COBBLER is made with PIE CRUST and LOTS of  JUICE...!!

It does take awhile longer than THIS  RECIPE and I just wanted to Try this one ON FOR SIZE  !

I followed her recipe to the fullest EXCEPT I had to add VANILLA and CINNAMON
to the batter.
 Ever heard of STRAWBERRY COBBLER...?
Not sure I have, either.

HOT out of the oven and ready for CREME...
Whipped Cream
Ice Cream
Heavy Cream
and I only have ICE CREAM this morning so I will have my
BREAKFAST COBBLER just plain
with a cup of that awesomely good  DUNKIN  DONUTS COFFEE.

I RESERVE the right to add here...
There is NOTHING wrong with having ICE CREAM for breakfast....!!! :)
NOW, if you like your cobbler with JUICE...  then you may not care for this one.

THIS one is very tasty...QUICK, as it only has FEW ingredients....using
SELF RISING FLOUR is the shortcut for this delightful TREAT.
Instead of real sugar,
I did use the IDEAL BROWN SUGAR sub....
and it is O SO GOOD.

YEP....you might want to "throw" this one together on an early SATURDAY morning....
have your favorite CREAM to go on it, if you'd like.
AFTER ALL...

NEVER STEERS US WRONG,
don'tchaknow ...!!??

It is ok to have ice cream for breakfast. It is milk, eggs, sugar, and cream. That's breakfast food, right?

Happy St. Pat's and you have reminded me to get our our Irish stuff. ♥
