Another Review AND a House Spirit

Hi, Everyone....

Have you tried the new FEBREZE  candles yet...?
I finally bought a couple...they are very inexpensive, and I am IN LUV !!

THIS one even matches those new towels I put out when guests are coming.....
or
when LOOKERS are coming to see the HOUSE FOR SALE BY OWNER.

The scent lasts a long time, even after you blow the candle out.....

and I love that it fills the small bath with fragrance, even when it's NOT lit.

What is it about this color that I love so much...???
and why do I not have MORE of it in my home...?
If I am remembering right, this LARGE one was about $12.00 .....
2 wicks so it is burning equally and I like that.

The second one I bought is a smaller size...
not sure WHY I would buy a smaller one....

ANYway,
this one is
really, really good, too.

It was somewhere in the $7 range and
has one WIDE wick in the center...

the better to keep from having a
WELL form in the middle of the candle
after burning it for awhile.

OOO, and notice the bright colored book here...

I found this delight at the local thrift store and I snapped it up sooo quick.

I just love colorful books...
especially olden books that are in
GOOD CONDITION.

 Michael Todd
(remember him..? Elizabeth Taylor's
husband....well ONE of them:)

produced a movie
"Around the World in 80 Days"
with David NIVEN.

This was in 1956.....
same yr. I graduated from high school...
O DEAR.

awwww...a sweet gift to 2 boys from their parents...
way back in 1975

I'm not sure WHY I like this book so much....

but....

I do.....!!

The first of this week, I went to the kitchen for a drink of tea, came back to my computer and it was totally
OUT OF WHACK...

It's STILL acting very strange....

...do you believe in
HOUSE SPIRITS ??

OK...I am lighting my candles and telling my
HOUSE SPIRIT Room Mate, EMMA,
that if she's mad at me for moving,
I will take her right along to the NEW HOUSE.
SHE just rearranged all my entire SIDEBAR
while I was working on this post.

I'm afraid to get another cup of coffee....she might DUMP it all over my keyboard !!

"Emma...OH, EMMA SPIRIT....I said
YOU CAN MOVE WITH ME..."
"Now DON'T be throwing any more HISSY FITS....please, ma'am"

*** I wasn't gonna mention that the day after the COMPUTER DISASTER,
our DVD crashed....but I will !!
and now......my hot water heater is making a strange noise.........

"Emma....get out of that hot water heater closet....RIGHT NOW !!"

OOO, and Mr. Sweet just counted 26 DOVES in our front yard....
...my little camera couldn't even get them all in the picture.

That's a LOT of birds, people...
I think we're
 HEXED....!

Don't you love it when candles make your whole house smell good? I don't burn candles much except around Christmas and during the winter, but Bath and Body Works has a pine scented candle that I just love.

Oh bj ... thanks for the tip on the candles. Will need to try them. Sorry that Emma is giving you trouble. Maybe she has had too much sugar. Love doves and we always have lots in the back yard and in the feeders.
Good luck and Happy Easter.
Hugs.

The candles sound delish. I sometimes put them around the bath and turn the lights out while I lounge and soak. Really relaxing as long as you have the right scent :)

I haven't tried the Fabreeze candles yet, but they sound wonderful. We usually use Bath and Body Shop's Warm Vanilla Sugar, but Almond sugar sounds pretty good.

As for the 'house spirit', perhaps she's just reminding you that she's there...

I think Doves are a sign of good luck, not being hexed. :)

Glad to know the Febreze candles rock. I like the spray so I'm going to give them a try, I'm sure of it.

Happy Easter to you!

LOL!!!!! Oh I am getting such a kick out of this post. You DID think I had something there, when I said it might be a House Sprite!!!!!

(Spr-IIII-t)

And you even named her, Emma.

And tried my suggestion of inviting her along, to your new home!

Oh I betcha' that was it! Your House Sprite Emma, was just upset, that you are leaving. It's been such a happy home for her, and who knows if she'll like the new owners. Why wouldn't a HOuse Sprite be upset?!?

But now, she can come. Mmmmmm, I do hope she really, really understands that she is invited along. If things are still breaking and rumbling, you may have to say Pretty Please to her....

Sprites like sweets, do they not? Kind of like Faeries do... Make one of your special sweet desserts and leave it alllll for HER!

Maybe???? :-)

Mmmmm, around here, our dishwasher is making awful sounds. We wonder how long, before it quits.... And we aren't moving!!!! :-)))))

Happy Easter, Dear One!!!

Hi BJness! Oh, those candles are so pretty and sound wonderful. I haven't seen any and will have to get some. I love candles. Sorry about all your puter and house problems. I've been there and I must have a puter spirit! I've gone through 3 laptops in the last month, took 'em back and bought another. Come to find out our wireless router was old and wouldn't send out enough signal to the new laptop. So...we bought a new router. All was well until we got ready to print something. Our two printers couldn't be picked up. We have a security system and Mr. Precious wanted to have some cameras. Well, they won't work now either. Called the security guy to come by and he worked for 3 1/2 hrs. and couldn't fix nothing. So someone else has to come and fix things. Waa...what spirit do you think we have?!! Be gone in the name of JESUS! :) Well, anyway, I wish you and Mr. Sweets a most wonderful blessed Easter.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

BJ, first, that photo of you on the sidebar is fabulous! God bless you, you look so beautiful and full of energy! I am going to check out these candles next time I am out shopping. I do believe in house spirits, I once heard you can get them to quiet down by sprinkling some salt. ;-) xo

BJ,
Love the idea of Fabreze Candles! YuM!!!
I, too, prefer multiple wick candles!
Here's a little candle burning tip for single wicks! Once you light the candle, let it burn until the entire top is liquid. If it begins to have more wax on one side...it's due to your wind current in your home. Just turn your candle when passing a quarter to a half turn will keep it burning evenly!!!
Have a Blessed and Glorious Easter!!!
Fondly,
Pat
P.S. Someday, I'll share with you about our dear Spirit, Goldie!!!

I have not tried those candles yet but will now. So nice to have someone tell you what is worth buying.
I so hope Emma is settling down now that she knows she can go with you, maybe she will like the new owners and chose to stay.

Have a blessed Easter

I’ll have to get some of these candles – I like good scent in the house.
You are selling your house? Do you know where you will move? We are thinking about selling our house by next spring – I don’t think we will ever be ready though as there is 36 years of accumulation here… Thanks for coming to my blog.
