Wouldn't you just love a big bowl of
FRESH FRUIT
right now ...?
meee, too.
I love the look of this awesome fruit salad served in my little
black and white bowl....(thank you, Nana Diana)
with JEEVES standing by, of course.
I've asked myself many times why I love black and white so much.
I haven't really found an answer other than it looks so
SHARP...
CLASSICAL...
NEAT.
and I LUV white dishes with black writing on them.
I have taken so much STUFF to Goodwill during all this packing, culling and moving thing...
I KNOW for certain sure that I packed these cute little measuring cups but...
I sure do hope I packed that white platter trimmed in black, there in the background...
hmmmm.....
and....did I PACK that cute little
CORDON BLEU plate......
or did it get in the GOODWILL BOX ?
O dear....
Mr. Sweet says he's sure glad I don't have to choose between
HIM and my beautiful Mackenzie*Childs type SHELF
as to which one I will take with me to the NEW PLACE. :)
hahhaaaa, you silly silly man, you.
O, YES...
all the MACKENZIE*CHILDS is packed and ready to go...
well, MOST of it...
I saved some out to make my house look awesome for some potential HOUSE buyer. :)
I mean, who knows....my Mackenzie*Childs pieces just MIGHT
SELL THIS OLDEN HOUSE. :)
what a hoot....
Right this minute, the
TEA KETTLE is not filled with flowers but sitting on the stove, lookin' GOOOD.
...the BLACK HUTCH, along with it's collection of WHITE IRONSTONE
will be making the move with me.
the BLACK AND WHITE chairs....?.....YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT..
the ottoman will find a home with a GOODWILL buyer.
and, that wonderful BLACK and WHITE TILE TABLE that Mr. Sweet built.
Oh, yes...
most of my BLACK AND WHITES will be in that MOVING TRUCK.
My house just wouldn't be the same without them.
We are shooting for March 1st to list our house for sale.
As soon as it does....
WE ARE OUTA HERE....!!
YIPEE..
Mr. Sweet didn't have to tweak these THRIFTED bookshelves one little bit.
There was a wall that was JUST PERFECT for my beauties.

Love all your pretty black and whites! And those shelves look like they were MADE to go there!

Oh new views and older views. I hope that you don't remember a thing that you released to Goodwill. Besides, you want to be able to shop there again. Just don't buy anything that looks vaguely familiar.
ReplyDeleteBJ, your new home is going to be so fresh and pretty. Great idea to get things ready and organized in steps like this. Glad to know all the black and white will be going with you. '-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day! ~ Sarah
March is a good time to list your house for sale. I put mine on the market march 2010 and it sold on the 5th day. Divine intervention I thought.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!!
Oh, it is looking so good! What a wonderful opportunity for you. I know you will do wonderful things in your new home. Sally
ReplyDeleteHi BJness! I'm getting so excited for you and your move. I know your new place will look marvelous and you do have the magic touch! I love seeing your black and whites.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
The great thing is that black and white go with everything. Remember, we put our house on the market last year at the end of March. A week later it was sold! That's a very busy time of year for lookers.
ReplyDeleteYour new place is always looking so good. The media center is great. No that's not too many bows. Let me know if you need me to go looking for your baskets here around Dallas.
I am loving your new place!!! I know you are, TOO!!!
ReplyDeleteThe baskets look great, I would take the single baskets and just turn them sideways just to break up the look and you won't have to buy more..everything looks great...
ReplyDeleteI am loving everything. Of coarse you love black and white, it is so classic, clean and just fits you to perfection.
ReplyDeleteSure wish I lived close to your Goodwill store, I would follow you, even if I had to wait in the bushes for you to leave with a load of 'stuff'.
I am sure your house wil sell very quick.
Nonie
You're reminding me of all the hard work of moving. However, it's so nice when you finally finish.
ReplyDeleteI think your B&W love expresses a conservative sould who decided to kick heels and have a great time ahahahah
ReplyDeleteSometimes that B&W falls into a rut or boring but no chance of that happening with you around ;)
I love moving because it "makes" us change things and "allow" us to choose new stuff. Love it! And marvelled with Dear Sould stepping in to help... someone has to take the pictures, right? ;)
Have Fun and keep us posted,
Teresa
I think your B&W makes your home warm and inviting! I'm sure it will sell quickly:@)
ReplyDeleteLove, love all your black and whites. Everything look so pretty. The set up in your media room looks gorgeous! Have fun decorating your new home!
ReplyDeleteI love black and white becasue it goes with everything and just looks so crisp! Your new home is looking beautiful with your pretty things making their way inside. I am so happy for you, I would buy your old house in a heartbeat if I was down there, I've always thought it was bautiful!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks like it is coming along just fine. Your new place looks like it is going to be great. Hope you got the right dishes in the right boxes. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteYour new home looks lovely, and NO, not too many bows - I love it! And I am certainly happy to know you are bringing all of your B&W and MC treasures with you
ReplyDeleteWish I lived near your GW to pick up that ottoman! You are going to be so happy in your new home!
It really is coming together! I know it's a lot of work but you'll enjoy it! Give that man a Yankee Dime! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYour black and whites are going to be fabulous in your new home!
ReplyDeleteLOVING this!!!
ReplyDeleteWondering just how much of your stuff, is being left in your home? To stage it for sale?
Must be a hard choice...
You want all your things with you, in your new "digs." But a certain amount of our things, left in a home, to see..... Are best, I guess.
Wheeeeee! All of this is fun! Well, for us. We don't have to move or paint or etc. -grin-
Right now I am looking for our old license plates. I KNOW I saw them in our new place, but now I can't find them...oooh, it is so frustrating. I hope you find all the things you hope didn't go to Goodwill!
ReplyDeleteI love your black and white and it will be so perfect in your new home! I sure hope that black plate makes it to your new home, it's sooooo cute! Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteI'm reading with interest as you are moving to a new home. We are pondering a move when Hubs retires in a couple of years. I love all your black and white! Wish I lived near your Good Will.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes in getting your home sold quickly.
oh.. i bet that you are excited!! I love all of the black and whites! It's going to look amazing.
ReplyDeleteBJ - I just love love love all your black and white. I know you will just love your new home and I bet your house will sell right away.
ReplyDeleteMary
Oh it's looking good girlfriend! I can't wait to see pics when everything is moved. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI love the black and white !
ReplyDeleteOK..#1 You.. wait.. I forgot to say "hi bj!" Anyway,as I was saying, you probably forgot to pack the platter..got a feeling it may have gone off to Goodwill. I DO hope I'm wrong. Just a feeling.
ReplyDelete#2 about the shelf. I think Mr. Sweet might just be right about not having to make a choice. :):)
Note* Bought the large tea kettle for my daughter for Christmas. She still squeals when she talks about it.
Your Mr. Sweet always does a fantastic job. We DO have the best two husbands ever when it comes to please us, don't we?
Oh..now don't be upset...but I would like to see those baskets turned so the bows don't show. It's just..I don't know. Can we see them the other way round?
Not that they don't look good..oh..but they do. It's just the bows.
HUGE hugs and don't be miffed. Ok? Love you!
Mona
Everything looks beautiful! Love all your black and white. :)
ReplyDeleteBJ,
ReplyDeleteYour black & white looks stunning...crisp and classical!!!
Love seeing your things in the new home!!!
"Mr. Sweet" gets an "Atta' Boy" on your new entertainment center and shelving!!!
Thanks for sharing how things are going!!!I'll be a wishin' and a prayin' your home sells quickly!!! Know someone is just going to love it!!!
Fondly,
Pat
BJ, your black and whites are fabulous! I just made a valance for my kitchen with the same black and white print on your chairs. Just love it. Your photos are amazing.
