A Weekend Trip

Midland is just a 2 hour drive from Lubbock...
making a PERFECT weekend trip.

We were heading to watch one of our beautiful granddaughters, ANDREA, and her basketball team compete in a game for REGIONAL CHAMPS.

Here's some of the team when they won the
AREA CHAMPIONSHIP.

We were so proud of them....and it always amazes me SO much that such
beautiful young girls can play basketball SOOO well. :)
"GO, LADY CATS"
 A sis, LACEY....and Andrea's mom and dad,
DAVID and KATHY...
We all wear funny GREEN things during the games...
Their colors are Green and Gold.
and #35.....OUR GIRL.

The team played their hardest at the Regional Championship game
but were beaten BY THREE POINTS.

I didn't take a photo of the girls because, as we all do when we don't win and want it SOOO badly,
they were all crying.

They can be very proud of how hard they played....
their coach sure was proud of them....as we all were.
 ********************************************************
We spent the night in a motel and we didn't get up until almost check-out time, 11:00..
too late for most places to serve breakfast...
CRACKER BARREL and IHOP had 2 hour waiting.....

May I just say that a
BACON CHEESEBURGER
from THE TEXAS ROADHOUSE
made a MIGHTY FINE breakfast for MOI....!!!

Congrats to your granddaughter for making it to the Regional championship. I would think that making to that point is just great even if they did not win. I know she was happy you were at the game too. The Texas Roadhouse is one of our favorite restaurants. Thanks for sharing, have a happy week!

A fun weekend. Sweet to go root for your Dear Grand.

Yes, it's so hard, when they lose. So hard. But! A life lesson... No matter how hard we try, sometimes we don't come out on top.

But we pick ourselves up, and keep right on going. :-)

And I seeeeeee that you have been having fun with making your own Backgrounds! Like you said.

Isn't it fun????

It is...

I thought I was gonna' paint my own Backgrounds now, after my "win" with painting little valentines. But! -sigh- I'm way too much of an amateur, to do it all the time. -pout- And I've been sticking to all white...

But... We shall see... No one can predict, what either one of us will do next, with our blog looks!!!! And that is super.

-giggggles-

Three points! How disappointing. But, with family love like yours, she'll be fine.

Have a good Blue Monday, BJ.
