PARADE OF THE PINK LIGHTS...

Hey, Everyone...
a tiny UPDATE on the future move.....

I hope this will be a fabulous weekend for you...having fun....eating good foods....drinking good wines....laughing a lot....
....as for MOI....I WILL BE PAINTING....packing...eating carry-out
and probably NOT laughing a whole lot.
Painting has never been one of my favorite things to do....
sooo messy.
I borrowed this inspiration board from a blogger SOMEwhere and, like the goofus that I am, I forgot to jot down WHO it belonged to...so sorry.
ANYway, I love the colors....
putty
off whites
whites.....
(I painted
TOASTED OATMEAL on my bookshelf wall yesterday....)

this is how I will go in my new spot.....
along with my
BELOVED BLACK AND WHITE...!!
We still have to sell our house before moving, and we should be able to put the house on the market
in late February.
Just like a jigsaw puzzle, things are beginning to fall into place...
it's just a long, slow process for this olden couple with 40 yrs of STUFF to sort thru, pack, and wonder if I will EVER find anything again.
:>)
ahhhh, but I digress...
THIS post is about
P.I.N.K.
Since I have paint brush in hand for the next few days,
I chose a PAST HISTORY POST (with a few new things added)
for
PINK SATURDAY.
GOSH....DON'T WE ALL JUST L.O.V.E. THE COLOR PINK.
MAY I PRESENT.....
THE PARADE OF PINK LIGHTS ......

DRUM ROLL...if you please.....
HERE WE HAVE.....
none other than a chandy from our own PENNY at LAVENDER HILL STUDIO....
isn't this to die for.......ooooo, just wait until I win that lottery !
UPDATE: she is now THE COMFORTS OF HOME.

Altho NOVEMBER is Breast Cancer Awareness Month,
we should PRAY  about finding a cure ALL THE TIME....

I love to take the opportunity on PINK SATURDAY to say a few words about

BREAST CANCER...
THIS PINK POST, I DEDICATE TO ALL WHO
HAVE IT NOW...
HAVE HAD IT...
AND THE SURVIVORS
OF
BREAST CANCER.

PINK prayer balloons for ALL who need them............

♫ ♫ ...i love you.....

Three Directions
A person reaches in three directions:
     INWARD... to oneself
     UP.....to God
     OUT...to others.
The miracle of life is that
     in truly reaching
     in any one direction,
     ONE embraces all three.

I found these CUTE and OH, SO PINK lights that I just knew YOU would think were cute, too.........

If there's a ballerina in the family, wouldn't this be so precious in HER room......
ANY little pink girl would love it.
I thought this little PINK ELEPHANT with POLKA DOTS was just FULL of Cuteness !!
I just love it !!
sweet little lambs...with PINK ears!!

Not much cuter (to me) than PINK mixed in with black and white....
and  JUST LOOK...
PINK UDDERS..!! :))

♥♥♥

Look at this REGAL ROOSTER...
reigning over all those CUTE CHICKS on their nests...

Now, I ask you....how adorable is THIS...
you can't get much cuter than a BIRD CAGE.

SWEET DREAMS.....
I guess EVERYone loves
CRYSTAL CHANDELIERS
and the beauty part of THIS one is that you can change out the shades
for different colors....
Waaay too pretty !!

I hope you have a CRYSTAL CHANDELIER kind of day.

  1. HI BJness! Oh, bless your heart. Painting is a lot of work. I wish you the best on your getting ready to move and selling your house. I know it's hard. I'll be looking forward to going along with you on your new adventure! :)
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  2. I don't like to paint either...I am not patient and I seem to get more paint on me than on what I'm painting. My husband does all the painting around here and really he isn't all that great at it either...don't tell him I said that! He is just better than I am!

I really don't own anything pink, but I do think it is such a pretty color and some of those fixtures make me want a pink room!

  5. BJ, I just hate painting, too, so much that I get sloppy and miss spots and just make a mess of it. Try to squeeze in some restful evenings. I couldn't begin to imagine what it would be like to pack up our home, probably about 15 dumpsters and 10 moving vans! lol! Hang in there. Love all your pinks!

    XO,
    Jane

  9. Pace yourself! It is along process. I need to go back to the posts I've missed to see if there is more 'news' about the move.

God speed as you go from one place to another. It will be as dear and blessed as your previous home.

  10. Oh BJ that's one process I don't mind doing...
    That's painting....

  11. Loving the popover post, boy do they look yummy.
    Beautiful pinks and bling, BJ!
I painted trim in our spare bedroom this week. Primer, then 2 coats of white. I get paint all over me, but end up with a good job in spite of it! Unlike you, I find painting therapeutic.
BJ, do know that I think about your upcoming move often and will continue to keep it in prayer. Moving is always a big deal, but 40 years of accumulation makes it so much bigger.

  23. I have been AWOL from blogging for a while so I am VERY surprised to hear you are preparing to move. ?
You do understand the "move" is a four-letter word, don't you? Only because it is soooo much "work" - another four-letter word. You are one busy girl and I wish you well wherever you are going!

I know what you mean about painting...I have been painting this house we bought for the past two months! I only have one more room to paint and hopefully will get it painted this week. I wish I could come help you paint, we would have a blast!

  36. Lovely soft color for your wall...I'm with you...painting is the puds.

Still, with all the work you've been doing, your zest for life comes through and your genuine caring concern. You're a peach among women...that's as close to pink as I can get besides a pink grapefruit and that doesn't have the same ring.

  37. Hello bj, The pink chandys are all so pretty. I do love the one with the sweet lambs. Of course my true love is crystals and bling.

Good luck with the painting. I don't envy you that job. I still can't think about you moving. It is such a huge undertaking. I worry you are working too hard. Take it easy bj. We aren't youngsters anymore.

I'm glad you liked my castle post. We are so blessed to be able to go on such a wonderful trip.

    Love, Jeanne
