ReplyDeleteMy eight-year-old will only eat Granny Smiths!
ReplyDeleteI never thought of putting apples in chicken salad but it sounds really good!
ReplyDeleteI have not eaten one in a very long time.
ReplyDeleteI think it is time now...
They will be at the top of my shopping list... I havent had one in a long time and I will definitely try some in my chicken salad....
ReplyDeletemmmm I believe I could taste that!
ReplyDeleteWhen my son was small, this was the only apple he'd eat. I'll have to try it in a chicken salad - sounds delicious.
I love apples and grapes in my chicken salad. Can't get enough :)
ReplyDeletehugs,
Laura
I like most all apples. especially the Pink Lady ones. The "dart" circles look nice on your blog.
ReplyDeleteHi BJness! Oh, I love me some apples and these are beauts! I love apples in my chicken and tuna fish salads. I've been eating the honey crisps but I think they're done as there weren't any at the grocery store today.
ReplyDeleteHope your New Year is off to a good start.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
These are the only apples we truly love to eat and bake with. Yum! And your pictures capture their goodness perfectly!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great weekend...wait, it's only Friday...
XO,
Jane
LOVE Granny Smiths - always a crisper full of them - no smoke and mirrors! :-) Happy Weekend, B - Tanya
ReplyDeleteI think I love you because you have some silly in you-cuz I know I have some silly in me and I want to be just like you when I grow up!;>) I love apples in chicken salad, too! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteAnd they're such a wonderful shade of green. I will try putting them in my chicken salad. I've got some all made up minus the apple.
ReplyDeleteLove Chicken salad and put a lot of stuff in it ... finely chopped chicken, walnuts or pecans, diced apples and grapes. I think I added some celery this last time.
ReplyDeleteSalt and pepper and salad dressing. Yum. You make yours look so pretty. Will try the Granny Smith apples next time.
Hugs,
Audrey Z.
Timeless Treasures
A friend in Georgia used to make her chicken salad with apples and walnuts. I don't eat meat anymore but sure do like the looks of everything else. Very healthy indeed! Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy

-chuckle- Her White Look, is back. :-) Well, you got the more complicated look, out of your system. :-)
ReplyDeleteA possibility... Next time you have a super big pic (like the fireplace), perhaps you could put that as Header. But keep the rest of your blog look, white/plain?
The best of both worlds. White background! Grrrreat pic!
Just a possibility. :-)
"Auntie"
I will have one of those sandwiches, PLEASE! My favorite! Have a blessed day dear BJ, I love playing too:)
ReplyDeleteThe apples and the sandwich looks so delicious. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteEverything looks yummy! I like to eat my apples with peanut butter. So good! Hope you have a nice weekend :)
ReplyDeleteYes I love the sharp taste
ReplyDeleteand crispness!!
They are also great for decorating with and do you remember little apple people that were baked out of granny smith apples. They came out looking like rinkley seniors...
I think I'll place an order too! Your picture of the chicken salad plate looks delicious. We also use apples and sometimes grapes in our chicken salad and vary pecans with walnuts on occasion.
ReplyDeleteAs for being silly, my opinion is that everyone is a little 'weird' and its that 'weirdness' that makes them more interesting and fun. My son used to say "My mom is weird, she loves 'rocks'!" ... and I do.
I am on my way save me a bite! A lovely plate. Thanks for sharing. You always Bless my morning.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day,
Sherry

Hi bj, I gotta laugh because Granny Smith apples are my fave. I love the tartness of them. Don't bother giving me a red delicious apple. I do not like them at all. Your chicken salad looks good enough to eat. Smile.

ReplyDeleteThey are my daughter's favorite and one day we went for a weekend out and when arriving to the Hotel she let go a "OMG" so loud that people - and us - turned to see what the comotion was about.
ReplyDeleteThere, in the lobby of the Hotel, there were huge - gigantic - two topiaries filled with Granny Smith... the poor dear must've thought she was in Heaven ahahahah
