CHRISTMAS LOOK ALIKE...# 2

Hello, all

 First off, be sure to
to go to my GIVEAWAY PAGE
to try for a win...
******************************************

OOO, don't we just LOVE this time of year.
Last December, I played with DebbieDoo in her
CHRISTMAS MAGAZINE COPY CAT CHALLENGE
and, as always, had so much fun.

In fact...I had so much fun LAST year, I decided on doing TWO
for this year...:))
DECEMBER OF 2011

I copied POTTERY BARN'S
beautiful Christmas Ball Wreath.
Here is a craft I can do...just using my glue gun.

Theirs is on the left...mine on the right.

I used an olden wreath I already had and Christmas balls that I'd had for years plus a few from Hobby Lobby at their half-price sale.
...and.....I like MY shabby, chippy PICKET FENCE even better that PB's...:)
I plan to add more RED balls to it for THIS season....or maybe next.
(It is SOOO hard to decorate around moving boxes...)

I am getting more and more BRAVE with my HOT GLUE GUN...:))
It doesn't GROWL at me when I plug it in, now....
AND NOW FOR MY 2012 CHALLENGE

DEBBIE DOO'S HOLIDAY KNOCKOFF DECOR PARTY

Mr. Sweet and I gave away our 7' tall Christmas tree years ago and opted
for a tiny 4' TableTop tree.
I LVE IT...
While looking thru olden magazines, I found THIS cutie in the
2004 issue of WOMAN'S DAY a few years back.
same size tree as mine....in a darling RED produce basket and....
FELL IN LUV

...now, why had I never thought of that cute trick ?

Not only is it a cute idea....it holds the little tree so snug and secure...
and the bright red basket adds tons to the Christmasey look in the room...

OK, I was off to find a BASKET....

♫♪♪...DECK THE HALLS WITH BOUGHS OF HOLLY.........
and find a BASKET, I did.
and not only did I find a basket...
but I found a RED BASKET...
SHUT THE FRONT DOOR !!!

I put that little 4' cutie right into that
bright RED basket
and was just TICKLED TO DEATH with how she looked.
She loved it, too, 'cause she burst into song....
She  was just FULL of CHRISTMAS CHEER....
♪♫♫...fa lala lala la la la la

The smaller tree is easier for Mr. Sweet and I to handle....
...and I do believe I'll make some paper STARS to hang on the tree.

 My Christmas go-to-store, HOBBY LOBBY,
has all the red and green baskets in the world...well...they DO have a lot.
Mine looks larger than WD's but it's the same size...closer photo.

We wish you the
Brightest
Shiniest
Healthiest
Happiest
CHRISTMAS,
EVER.

also linking with these fine parties:

Thanks, ladies, for all the holiday FUN..
XOXOXO

Since I am DOUBLE PLAYING in this Dec. '12 fun party...
Hope you will check them BOTH out...

I like your wreath better than PB's, and doesn't it give you a kick to know how much less it cost?
I love the basket idea too. I have always liked the look of trees in a cute container. This year I put mine in a big galvanized tub that I found at a yard sale for $3! I like how much room is under the tree for gifts and it has a cool farmhouse feel. You put me to shame with all you are getting done while packing to move!

Love your blog look, at 7:30am est, on Dec. 10th. -gigggles- I give all those details cause I know you and I change our blog look, at the drop of a hat. ,-)))))))

We have a wee tree too! And we leave it all decorated and wrap it up and take it upstairs, where it waits till the next Christmas. Aren't we the *smarty-pants-ses*? ,-)

Red basket to for the tree. Sweet idea. We seem to have *lost* our tree skirt and have to get another. A red basket would be sweet, but I know I won;t get that done now. :-)))))))))

Love the little red basket and the wee tree. Just as soon as the grands aren't so insistent that we have a big tree, I'm going back to a wee one myself. Just as much cheer and charm!

Funny how some whimshy and fun can enlarge an object.

Your art always improve from your easy nature and delight in the simple things and what was a wee becomes a wonderful and big display of warmth and fun.

Thank you for sharing! If I were PB I'd insist to have you copy catting me.

Love You,
T

Very nice BJ. I always told you that glue guns don't bite!!! The glue does hurt and burn though (just ask klutzy me).

God bless.

Wow that is super cute and how cool is that with you finding the red basket! It was meant to be for sure!
I cracked up at your "shut the door" phrase especially since I read your newer post after this about your front door coming open by itself!! LOL... Your wreath on the fence turned out really great too! It's fun to gather ideas that inspire us from these magazines and catalogs!
