When Worlds Collide........

.......or should I say when SEASONS collide....:)

Hi, Ya'll, sure hope all is good on your side of the mountain.
All is well here on 15th Street.

I am almost certain these are the last of my beautiful roses for the year.

I don't know the species of THIS particular rose bush.

They have a really big rose..so large, in fact, that they tend to bend over....

♫♪♫...they hung their heads and they cried♪♪♫

I generally cut them as soon as they blossom out before they "cry" and loose all their pretty pink petals.

...don't you love that we have PUMPKINS
and
ROSES at the same time???
Meee, too.
('course..a lot of my pumpkins are
FAUX   :)

I found this adorable BLACK pumpkin with the
GLITZ
at HOBBY LOBBY the other day...
all their glam pumpkins were 50% off...just my kind of
PUMPKINS......

The last of the sweet little
KNOCKOUT ROSES...
...sparkly ORANGE is A GOOD THING....

.....BUTTERMILK WAFFLES are also
A GOOD THING.

excuse me while i go back for seconds....:)

...come closer, sniff...don't they smell DELICIOUS ?.....Yes, indeedy....they DO.
Since we've been off REAL sugar in everything from my coffee to
pies, cakes, SYRUP....EVERYthing,
we are truly feeling better.
A little more ENERGY and, believe me, at almost 75 and 78,
just a LITTLE more energy is sooo APPRECIATED. !!  haaahahhhaaa
Love and hugs and many kisses,
bj

Glad you still have these beauties to enjoy. Mine have been gone far months. I understand your blog frustration. Some days I want to pull the plug and to heck with it.

Roses and sweet - doesn't get much better than that ;).

I've bid farewell to mine... it's already too cold for them. This Summer was the first I achieved to have some, they'd always die on me, catch all the plagues but this year I had some beauties and fell in love.

I mentioned your blog in my place.

Have a Sweet Weekend,
Teresa

BJ,
Your roses are gorgeous!!! Like you, I use to be saddened by the drooping of the heads...until one of my dear blog ladies wrote that at that point the "roses bow their heads in prayer"!!! Gave me a whole new outlook on the drooping rose heads! Now, I smile and remember those who need my prayers!!! Oh, dear friend, you are really running competition with "Mr.Ed" on your waffles!!! Guess I'll have to have him make a batch for breakfast to compare! Have a blessed weekend...ours will be filled with our new adventure!
Fondly,
Pat

Like you we have roses and pumpkins at the same time.
Pink and orange, I love it.........I also have some of those glitzy pumpkins, my problem they got to put away with the Christmas decorations and I can't find them. I guess that's one of the problems when seasons collide!
Good for you and the sugar change. We should do that here, anything for a little more energy.

Oh dear! I'm sorry sweet friend..I somehow lost my comment..Another enjoyable post. I tried the sugar free syrup and ..I'm sorry to say, I didn't like it. I will probably do myself in eating real butter and brown sugar...and real maper syrup.
I don't know what it will take to make me straighten up and do what I'm supposed to do. I try. I do.
But not hard enough.
I LOVE your roses...and I also love them with evergreens. My favorite and it's coming up fast.
Hugs and love, and thank you for your prayers. It's one day at a time...sweet Jesus.
