Please go to Two Bags Full and read all about this amazing lady by the name of VICKI that has started
THE PINK SCARF PROJECT.
She will tell you all about this project but, in a nutshell, THE PINK SCARF PROJECT is a year long project the offers to women everywhere that are suffering from this dreaded disease. a little smile, a scarfy hug and HOPE....HOPE because they know
someone cares.
VICKI says if we don't sew, crochet or knit,
we are more than welcome to PURCHASE a beautiful
pink scarf/scarves.
She has the address of where to send the scarves
posted on her blog page.
The statistics are horrifying~~
It is estimated that over 230,000 women were diagnosed with breast cancer during this past year. Ninety-five percent of these cases occurred in women 40 years of age and older. As horrid as those numbers are, they are an improvement over the previous year. And those numbers are an improvement over the year before -- thanks to increased awareness, better detection methods, and remarkable new treatments.

These lovely photos were taken at VICKI'S sister's house....
They just take my breath away.
When I asked if I could use some of her pictures in a post about her project,
she graciously said, "YES..." Thank you, Vickie.
Our sisters stricken with this HATEFUL and MEAN disease so desperately need PRAYERS....
they need to know we think of them...
they need to know we support and love them....
they need to KNOW WE CARE.
Please join in this worthy project....please make or buy scarves to show these brave women there's a whole world out there with people that care about them.
Just a simple scarf, wrapped around their neck, like a big, fuzzy hug
is bound to bring a smile to their face.
Just thinking about it makes me want to buy a semi truck load of scarves
and send them all.
At this very moment, I am praying for a young mother with small children,
fighting the battle so bravely.......and losing.
Most of us know someone that has fought and survived and I give
THREE CHEERS for those brave ladies.
Please think how insignificant a scarf is.....
and think how HUGE making someone feel good, even for just a short time,
while fighting the battle of their life.
Please join me and a multitude of others that will see that a lot of beautiful,
pink or predominately pink, scarves will grace the necks of some of the most beautiful and brave women on this planet.
Like the infamous and beautiful AUDREY HEPBURN,
I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES......

Giving a scarf to put around the neck of a brave, beautiful woman with cancer will be
just like YOU are giving her a big, warm HUG.
That thought makes ME feel fuzzy all over.
....just an added bit of SWEETNESS
My image in the window of the BREAST IMAGING CENTER in LUBBOCK.
I had my mammogram this afternoon...
PA...LZZZZZZZ go have yours SOON.
It only hurts for a little while.....AND it just might save your life.

I have the graphic on my sideboard at the top of the page. Cancer devastated me personally when it took my husband. I had already lost 3 sisters and 1 brother to cancer. I have a niece in remission from breast cancer now.
I am certainly IN! What a wonderful project- God bless you Bj or spreading this word. I will pop over to visit there, too. xo Diana
