He brought these in before the freeze.....

Hi, Everyone... Well, our roses are STILL blooming, despite the 27 degree weather we had this morning. Mr. Sweet brought a few inside because he was afraid they'd loose all their petals in the cold.
Aren't they just beautiful !!
When I start taking photos of ROSES, I just don't know when to stop. It's like I might never see another one as pretty as this one.....so I just keep snapping. :)

Another thing he did was stuff some
Anaheim  (is that spelled right?) peppers....and he had one lone, big RED
bell pepper that he stuffed...

 Boy, were they ever good.

He scrambled lean hamburger meat and fresh onions and diced potatoes together.

He stuffed and tapped (with the handle of a wooden spoon) and stuffed and tapped until he had the peppers as full as he could get them.

Then, he sprinkled the tops with EXTRA SHARP CHEDDAR cheese.

(He said, "I wish I had some cream cheese to use for these"
and I said, "O, we do.....here", handing him a carton of soft cream cheese, walking back to the living room.
He said, " Hey, this is STRAWBERRY flavored cream cheese..." I said, "Uh Oh...guess you better just use cheddar."   :>)
                            *****
Into the oven at 400 for about 30 minutes or until the peppers were fork tender....remember, everything else has been cooked.
"Do not watch the petals fall from the rose with sadness...
know that, like life, things sometimes must fade,
before they can bloom again."
*heavy sigh....sooo romantic

...did I say hamburger meat, onions, diced potatoes, a sprinkle of RED PEPPER, cheese.........

Yep, you better fix you some tonight...they will make you smiiiiiiiiile.

Mr. Sweet and I both like these slightly hot green peppers best...

but the red bell was mighty good, too.

My little centerpiece for this meal.....
my pretty pink roses and a beautiful
GOOSE CREEK CANDLE
in the awesome scent of SPUN SUGAR and gathered together on a nice wicker tray.
I was blessed to win this candle from my sweet little cutie friend, JAIME.
She is owner of the blog THAT'S MY LETTER.
THANKS SO MUCH....I love it !
I hope ya'll will stop over and visit some with Jaime....and would you tell her
bj said "HEY" ?
Thanks for coming by today....
Go "pick a peck of pickled peppers"
and stuff 'em and bake em' and have your hubby eating out of your hand forever.
xoxo bj

BJ, I was just looking out of my window, a few minutes ago, and the most beautiful pink rose is out there! We had overnight temps in the low 30's and this rose is just sunning away! And, man, those stuffed bell peppers have my mouth watering. Yummy!

Your photo's are stunning! I brought all of my plants in from outside and cut my lavender before the big FREEZE. I really love fall, but not looking forward to the next 4 months.

Hi Bj!

I don't know which I like better... the beautiful rose pictures or the stuffed peppers!

I have never tried stuffed Anaheim peppers, but I will now! Sometimes I just put some Spanish Rice flavored Rice-a-Roni for quick stuffed peppers.

It's getting cold here too... down to 64 at night, lol.

You put cheese on everything! What's not to love? Yum-O. The roses? They look so velvety. They also look like they would be very fragrant. We had one lone clematis bloom a day or two ago. I love things like that. They are like little reminders of the beauty God brings us.

I absolutely love pink roses! And yours look like they have double centers...

As for the stuffed peppers, DH stuffs Bell Peppers (green and red)also. His recipe is similar, although we add rice, garlic, and toasted pecans (no potatoes, but that sounds good too).

And your photos are great!

It is so sad to say good bye to the last rose of summer. Those are some pretty pictures to get you through the winter. Hmmm maybe you could have created something new with strawberry cream cheese/stuffed peppers?

Gosh, those first images of the roses don't even look real. As if they could be porcelain. So pretty. I don't eat meat but I do love peppers of any kind. Especially banana peppers with black eyed peas. Yummy! Best wishes to you for a great new week. Tammy

The roses are just beautiful, but boy howdy... the stuffed peppers steal the show for me! Just yum.

I grinned about the near miss with strawberry flavor. I don't think that would have been the taste he was looking for.

BJ,
Those peppers do look might good. Haven't had any stuffed peppers in a while.
Love the pics of your roses too, we still have a few left on the bushes. I really enjoy them and will miss the sight and smell through the winter months when they're gone.

Our roses are still blooming too..but yours are simply gorgeous. Ours got a wee cooked in that high 110 temps. The buds just looked sad and fell off.
Yours are perfection,bj.

The stuffed peppers look great! One of my favorite dishes..and it's been a long time since I've fixed them.
I had to smile when I saw that someone else is asking how you do the different things on your blog.
I guess you just keep experimenting until you figure it out. :) It takes a bit of time..but I am getting there if very slowly.
As always, a GREAT post.
