and look for a relaxing place to sit...
have tea and treat...
daydream a little..
and most likely, to read a new magazine.

May I say right here...
THERE'S A LOT OF PHOTOS today...

THERE'S A LOT OF PHOTOS today...
sorry..sometimes, I just can't leave any out...
A few years ago, MR. SWEET and myself doubled the size of our living room.
During the planning, I asked if we might have a tiny ALCOVE..
a nice feature to keep the large room from looking so...
boxy.
He said, "Absolutely"
and he built just exactly what I had in mind.
Thank you, Mr. Sweet !
We have so enjoyed the tiny space that made a world of difference.
There's the thrifted, wicker desk and chair I bought several summers back.
I am TOTALLY in love with it.
♥
...and THIS is where we will have our
early morning TEA.
First, however, we must have a treat....
A treat for tea is a MUST.
CRANBERRY ORANGE MUFFINS.....
what an amazing combo.....
OMYGOSH...
aren't these JUST BEAUTIFUL...
This amazing recipe is from JACKIE and I sure thank her for it.
go here for the recipe..
Her recipe is much more healthy than mine...I added more sugar...white flour...
I will try her healthy version next time.
It doesn't say here, but you can surely serve
CRANBERRY ORANGE MUFFINS..
Using my thrifted WHITE teapot...
Blue and white dishes are such a lovely background for TEAS...
You know...I've always heard of tea and crumpets...
just WHAT IS crumpets ?
I just might want to make some and have a
TEA AND CRUMPET PARTY .....
my beautiful silver candlestick from my beautiful daughter, STACY LEIGH...
Almost every single thing in this photo is THRIFTED...
YAY FOR THRIFTING !
...a tiny bit of blue to match the clear blue sky this morning...
...one lump or two ?
...a tiny bit of RED to keep the
RED CRANBERRIES
company....:))
...... the little POTTERY BARN creamer...ANOTHER thrift....
...a sweet little book.....I don't remember where I found.
AHHHHH.......
I feel like I can face ANYthing this day may bring.
...recharged with good food and a pretty setting..
♥ ♥ ♥
Believe me when I say..
IT IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL.
♥ ♥ ♥
Please treat yourself soon...
your spirit will soar..!!
XOXO

A very lovely tea party! I would love a cup please and one of those delicious orange cranberry muffins. Thank you!
Those muffins look wonderful! There's nothing like a tea party!
BJ,
Amazing tea party for you and "Mr. Sweet"! I am thrilled that you didn't leave any photos out...these tell the story so well! Love the blue and white with touches of red!!! Have a blessed week, dear friend!
Fondly,
Pat
It looks like fun. And the muffins look delicious.
Crumpets are lovely and you can do a search online and come up with a fairly simple recipe. They might remind you of an English muffin because the butter slides down into the nooks and crannies. It is a softer and milder flavor though. Really...check it out!
I always want to join you for one of your teas. They are so inviting and the little snacks you make look so heavenly. It is a good thing to know how to nourish more than just the body.
bj- You are such a TEAse...sharing those good looking muffins and making me drool as I sit here. What a beautiful post- makes me want to join you for TEA...sure wish I could- xo Diana
bj ... LOVELY, as usual. Always so inviting. If all the bloggers, or just a few of them, lived in your town, you would have a houseful for tea and orange cranberry muffins.
Hugs,
Audrey Z. @ Timeless Treasures.
We often have crumpets for tea in the winter, but I cheat and buy them from the supermarket. When I was a child we toasted them over the open fire but these days do it in the toaster, not quite the same though.

Diana
Just perfect! Cranberry muffins, tea in the alcove, and that pretty wicker desk that I've admired since it first found its way to Sweet Nothings. Thanks for starting my week off with this lovely post, BJ.
Oh BJ I sure have enjoyed having tea and muffins with yall.
Lovely tea! Those muffins look delish!
This is really lovely, BJ. The tea set looks so pretty and those muffins are to die for....Christine
Each of your photos, is a gem. Of course you should enclose them all, in your first-day-of-the-week blog entry!!!!
Prettiness and beauty, can never be too much.
:-))))
Gentle hugs,
"Auntie"
The alcove looks like it was built for the wicker desk. That is a nice area for you and gives extra I terse to the room. The muffins look so delicious. I don't have much of an appetite in the morning but a good fruity muffin seems to hit the spot. You have set a pretty tray for tea!------
Shannon
I can almost smell the muffins!
My Blue.
Mr. Sweet sure was a good find! I love your sweet tea spot--even though you didn't mention sweet tea! (That's my idea of a joke!)
Thanks for sharing your blues.
Happy Blue Monday, BJ.
BJ, I love being invited to your tea party.
The muffins look wonderful, might just have to bake me some very soon.
Wish I was there to enjoy that with you! I love your little creamer that you found with the letters on it. Those muffins look yummy!

That muffin is just delightful.
Visiting from Blue Monday..
Elephant Ride is my BLUE, would be delighted for your comment. Have a great week ahead.
Your photos are like art in this post...so pretty. I like crumpets...very much like an English Muffin with more holes and a softer texture. Sometimes I find them at specialty food stores. I've never tried making them.
So inviting and homey. Love that tea kettle. Looks like a MacKenzie Childs. Thanks for linking up this week.
