That man can grill a MEAN CHICKEN

THIS is the continuing saga of the
GRILLED CHICKEN recipe out of the awesome
GRILL cookbook I won from SHANNON.

Mr. Sweet is the MASTER GRILLER
around here and he has
CLAIMED this cookbook as his OWN.

Since he is a pretty good outdoor cook,
and I don't even know how to TURN THE GRILL on,
I said, OK.

 The recipe he chose.....
Of all the noise coming from that kitchen...
cabinet doors  opening and closing...
drawers pulled out....
"where's the......" every other word...
fridge door opening, shutting and opening again.
I heard a fork or two hit the floor (I do hope he washed it)
MERCY....
 but, WHOA.....
all this man needs is a killer CHEF HAT...
don't these look gooood.

He did an awesome job on these chicken pieces...
and he is already looking thru the cookbook
for something else to try.

Our thanks, again, to SHANNON of
COZY HOME SCENES
for this gift.
Well, I seem to be having no trouble at all being able
to post RED and/or WHITE and/or BLUES
for this entire week.
What a fun time of year this is.....

We have a couple of really fun trips planed for this month...

We didn't get out of town last summer and we're really ready
for a trip....to cooler country.
 These aren't LOOONG trips...
the first, to an awesome lake
with daughter and family for 2 or 3 days.

The second getaway is to the mountains of
 New Mexico
for several days.
I wanted to have you meet VACHE....a little Cordon Bleu  COW CREAMER that my good friend, BARBARA,
gave to me tonight.
I've wanted one forever and now.......I HAVE ONE.
I love it, Barb....THANKS SO MUCH.
He's adorable....

I hope ya'll have a great holiday....
Stay safe....have fun.....
XOXO bj
I am trying to post red white and/or blue every day this week...
can I do it ??
Ya doggone right.... (well, thru FRIDAY)

AT THE LAKE....

Looks great to me! I'd willing give him the cookbook and the keys to the grill. :)

Can I please go to New Mexico with you? I'll schlep the luggage or whatever. LOL Sounds wonderful in the midst of this Texas summer.

Have a great time!

Lucky you! My husband doesn't care too much for chicken! What? I could eat chicken everyday! Hope you had a great 4th.

Grilling is an art! I myself do not have it nor does Louis Dean (no matter WHAT he tells you!) We have a little ceramic grill and that is the only thing I can seem to grill on.

Your chicken looks SO good!
So.....does your hubby clean up after himself?

You will SO enjoy your trips! You have a good time where ever you are!!

I'm so glad the recipe turned out good. Looks like your husband is a very good cook. The chicken looks great! I do have to admit I had a good giggle at your description of him in the kitchen. For a minute there, I thought you were talking about my Dad. That sounds like him when he grills too. Thanks for the post....I'm thrilled that the gift when to someone who enjoys it as much as you and your husband have.
