A Father's Day Picnic

Son, DAVID and KATHY
had a BARBEQUE for FATHER'S DAY
and we took our share .....to share.:))
Most of our large family was there...
Cate, the Great was sick so she wasn't around to make us laugh and play...
"We missed you, Cate."

Chopped brisket with 4 different kinds of barbeque sauce, to make  KILLER sandwiches...
One of my favorite things to eat HAS to be
CHOPPED BARBEQUE SANDWICHES.
Mr. Sweet, no matter WHAT is cooked on the grill,
LOVES his sausage grilled right along with it.
When he found out KATHY was cooking CHICKEN on the grill,
he grabbed a bag of sausage as we left for the INDOOR PICNIC.
...and of course, we HAD to have BAKED BEANS.
I love 'em....especially when bacon has been placed over the top
and baked.....ummmmm UM !
Now I have to find the lid that goes with this take-along bowl.

We gathered up bags of CHIPS....
BAKED POTATO CHIPS
BAKED CHEETOS.....my fav
SUN CHIPS

One of my favorite desserts on the planet... so I baked up 12...
some PEACH and some CHERRY.
Speaking of cherry,
see that Cherry tart there...
what does it remind you of ?

Drinks to be poured into plastic milk jugs...
EASY to transport...

Sweet Tea...with that good sugar sub, IDEAL.

The green....MARGARITA  CRYSTAL LIGHT...

WOW...this is GOOOOD stuff.

WE ALL love lemon ANYthing...

sooo....a LEMON  NO  BAKE...
just waiting for fresh WHIPPED CREAM for the top.
We all love fruit...especially all the GRANDS
so strawberries, grapes and fresh pineapple...
with a good and sweet FRUIT DIP

There was chicken and corn on the cob and awesome baked potatoes....

As always, we had such a great time together.
How blessed we are to be able to share time with our two children and all the grands
for every single special holiday..
and all in between.

Delicious! We had grilled fish, corn on the cob and three bean salad followed by extreme Moose Tracks ic cream, and then we all promptly napped for about 2 hours. We are a happenin bunch. Still, we apparently needed the rest:>) Glad you had such fun!

Oh I just love those 'lips' on the turnovers! And I recently discovered fruit dip. I could only imagine it being something like chip dip and I like all ick and yuck. Then I tried it! It's the best.
Looks like you have great times with your great family. Yay!
My son and his family will be here in a day or two. I can't wait.

You said (before) that both your children had stopped eating sugar.

Your darling daughter always looks purrrrrfect. But that pic of your darling son, in your side bar, with his sister... Mmmmm, he does look a *wee* bit overweight. ,-)

But above in this post, he/son looks like he is losing some weight. Wonnnnnnderful!!! Much more healthy for him. :-)

Hi BJ....I bet this was a fun picnic with your family. Your husband sounds like my Dad only he throws hot dogs on the grill. Like you, a picnic at our house isn't complete without baked beans. Thank you very much for being a sweet friend and joining me at the Grill, BBQ, And Picnic Party and thanks for keeping the button on your sidebar these past few weeks.

Sun Chips are my favorites, too. Love those things. Rarely buy them just to be on the safe side.

You are blessed...once again I'm a little green with envy. There is nothing better than briscuit when it is cooked well...not easy to find around here. Yum. I laughed out loud at the turnover lips...so funny. The food looks fabulous and I'm sure the company was even better.

What a great day you had with your family - but any day eating Sun Chips is a good day!

We grilled steaks, veggies and potatoes on the new grill we gave to my hubs!
