DEEDS, my youngest grandgirl, sent me some photos
I am always sooo glad to see the kids do crafts.....
I am afraid I didn't do many crafts, if ANY, when I was young
which most likely counts for why I am not crafty today.
My mom was VERY talented and she did all sorts of crafts...
For some reason, I wasn't encouraged to try crafts....I wish I had been.
DEEDS mom. STACY LEIGH, has always been so encouraging to her
four kiddos and encouraged them to search for their talents.

hmmm, let's see here.....I am not sure just what she is making ....
Her inspiration picture beside her LOOKS like a clock....
Look at her, just grinning all over....
I can just hear her mom....
"Smile big, Deeds...we'll send this photo to your Memaw."
hahhaaa....I do just love it.

I can see these are CHOP STICKS....
she has painted something on each one, it looks like.
It IS ...
it IS a clock....
"This is great, Deeds......and I am so impressed."
Gosh, she did so good on it.
I know she is proud of it......meee, too, Deeds.

I am just thrilled to see her developing her love of crafts and explore her talents.
I believe we ALL have talents...some hidden and never discovered.
I love that our grands are SEARCHING and......FINDING their talents.

ReplyDeleteb.j. cannot do crafting. But who needs to be a crafter when one can cook like you. I call that creativity with a capital C. She is darling b.j. I know the feelings those grands can bring. We are lucky in Grandland. Blessings

How nice to be passing along the crafting bug! And she is very talented too! Please come back and link this to the party? I love when you visit ♥
ReplyDeleteHow you can say that you're not crafty is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteYay for Deeds...that is a very neat project and it looks like something you'd be very proud to have on your wall. It's colorful and cheerful and that's why I like it a lot.
That's a great clock/ Deeds is a cutie. Love your new banner. You have talents and alot of them.
ReplyDeleteNext thing you know she'll be a big time craft blogger right? What a cute project!
ReplyDeleteMy Aunt Esther was the craft queen in our family. I loved going to her home and she always had something for my cousin and I to create. I attribute my love of crafts to her.
ReplyDeleteYour Deeds did a great job...that is very impressive!
Wow!!!
ReplyDeletethat's very cool! good for her!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing- crafting is something that stays with a person their whole life if they love it as a kid. She did a great job and is as cute as a button- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThat clock she made is fabulous! Watch out blogging world.
ReplyDeleteBJ,
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing clock!!! This post reminds me of a classmate of my sons who was once overheard saying, "Ah~h~h...G'Ma...you're my biggest fan!" Keep encouraging DEEDS...you just never know!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Great clock. I like that her craft project is functional.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwww, she's so cute, BJ!!!!!! I love that she's crafting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great clock she made! I, too, am so glad the kids are searching and finding their talents!!! It develops into a life long LOVE! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteAWESOME, Deeds!!! I love seeing the younger ones want to make something with their hands, too - she did a KILLER job! Happy Wednesday, BJ - Tanya
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute B.J..just like her Grandma(you can pay me later) x0x0
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, such a sweet little girl, your Deeds. She looks like she is learning from all her family, especially her grandmom, and she looks like she is enjoying her crafting. She did do a terrific job with her clock. I'm impressed too……….

Way to go Deeds!!! My mom didn't do any type of crafts either. I have always loved to make things. Cooking, gardening, sewing, knitting, crochet, I love it all!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet post! Your granddaughter is darling. So much fun to see her craft take shape.
ReplyDeleteHappy Rednesday!
My family was not crafty..so I did not grow up with the urge to create..no idea where it came from..but all my girls have it and I'm so glad.
ReplyDeleteI do LOVE craft glue..not sure why..but I have to have a jar of it around even if I don't use it.
It's a ...security thing. :)
A clock? Why of course it is!! I thought it was a Japanese umbrella...the little ladies carry..
ReplyDelete(this is probably why I as always in trouble with my kids!)
How cute b.j. You can see how proud she is of her project. How you can say you are not crafty is beyond me. Your are so talented. My mom was always making, sewing, or gardening. I am so happy that I developed a love of all three.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
I love to see kids doing crafts. It's so much fun and creative!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of your TALENTED Deeds! Love what she made! I know that she was as proud to show you what she made as you were to see it:) Have a blessed day dear BJ, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteGrand kids are so wonderful ... Deeds is so cute and talented. Enjoyed your post as usual.

She is a doll! The clock is really cute. I could just see that hanging in a kid's bedroom. Nice to see her crafting instead of sitting in front of a computer. I have to pry my boys away from their games. Neither of them like to craft but my girl loves it.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!
She is just a BEAUTIFUL girl! I love her clock. It is a good size too. I would love to spend time doing crafts if I had girls. Since I had boys, there was less interest I'm afraid. I hope she'll hang the clock where she can appreciate it every day!
ReplyDeleteThis blog reminds me of the story I did on my granddaughterleaning to paint:
ReplyDeletehttp://voices.yahoo.com/photos/how-paint-canvas-using-acrylics-6612070.html?cat=24
It really sparked something and she really loves the art classes she takes. You can never go wrong when you provide the materials and time for your grandchildren to do crafts.
very creative..love the colors
ReplyDeleteMod Podge is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteNew follower from the blog hop :) Can't wait to catch up your posts!

Hi BJ, so sweet to have you stop by Quirky Vistas and let me know you were there. Thank you. This post is so cute. Love seeing kids create. These moments will stick with them for a lifetime!
ReplyDeleteLiz
Very creative! This is how talent is developed!!!
ReplyDeleteI don t know how you can say you are not crafty!
ReplyDeleteWhat about all the refinishing you have done?
She is adorable, and creative too!
Having taught elem school for 33 years, I have done my share of crafts, always on a shoestring as there was a very lean budget. But that makes one more creative, making things out of nothing!
,
Fun! I remember my daughter sitting at the table for hours when she was young and doing crafts.
ReplyDeleteShe is just so cute and obviously more crafty than I am. My mom could knit and crewel? Is that the word? Beautifully. That was it. I can knit scarves only and my crafting skills are truly lacking! But I can cook and I'd rather eat!
ReplyDeleteHi Bj!
ReplyDeleteDeeds will be ready to start her own crafting blog if she keeps this up. Those were some great pictures and the clock is so colorful and clever too!
Thanks for sharing this cute post at my party this week.
