~ Heart Singers ~

 G'morning...
I hope this THURSDAY MORNING is starting out just perfect for you...
I went thrifting a little bit yesterday....

Not ALL thrifting adventures can be
OUTSTANDING.....

...such as this amazing (but kinda ugly) MACKENZIE♣CHILDS pitcher.
I am not as fond of this pattern as I am the COURTLY CHECK.
However, it has enuf black and white checks that it surely caught my eye the
minute I walked into SALVATION ARMY THRIFT.
In the MacKenzie♣Childs catalog, this pitcher is a smooth $100.00...
I found the exact same one in the THRIFT store for $1.50.
YEP....ONE DOLLAR and FIFTY CENTS...
NOT a crack, break or a blemish on it.
and it bears the marking of MacKenzie♣Childs on the bottom.
I don't find that kind of thing happening in thrift shops often....
THIS item was a
TRUE AWESOME and A BAG OF CHIPS....
but, I still find things that make my heart sing.
For instance....
 I ADORE
Tole Trays....
...especially a  BLACK TOLE TRAY
with golden fruit on it.
$1.00
A  PRECIOUS sign to either hang above my bookshelves
or sit on one of it's shelves.....
...and in the perfect ROBINS EGG BLUE color with
pretty writing.
$1.25
and lastly, on this particular thrift shopping day,
a little RED coffee mug...
.... GREAT to add to my COUNTRY BREAKFAST of
Deviled Eggs with
bacon
cheese
ranch dressing (low fat)
whole wheat toast
and that RED cup filled with DUNKIN DONUTS coffee....the best in the world.
I really don't know WHY but I have this thing for cute coffee mugs.
I like them better than a matched set 'cause they are fun and cute and colorful
and never BORING.
THIS one was 25 cents
complete with TIC TACK TOE/HEARTS
...just a fun little way of adding wonderfulness to your breakfast table. :))
Thanks so much for stopping in.
I hope you will visit some of the parties I am supporting here....
so so many cute things to see in BLOGLAND.

  26. Wow! Your racked up. I'm in the process of moving and trying to be good and not buy anything else. You are making it hard. This made me want to hop down to my local thrift store! Your little book sign is my favorite!

  27. I love that sign!

  28. My GW store needs to take a lesson from some of the others out there. I can never even find anything worth bringing home. That sign would be found for $20-$30 in a gift shop here, you got a deal!

As for the day being a good one...anything beats yesterday (you can read about it if you want) then add in the fact that we were hit (not hard-$1100 worth) by a semi that left the scene last night. I dialed 911, my husband followed him...and the police got him!

  29. What fabulous finds BJ! My favorite is the little garden sign. Thanx for taking the time to come and party at my place!:)
