Yuuuummmm, girl! I love cake but coconut cream pie is my favorite dessert.
ReplyDeleteI thought romance started in the bedroom, not the bath. Hmmmmm, I don't think I'll mention this to Love Bunny....
xoxo,
Connie

I LOVE the birds on branches candle thingie in the bathroom!
ReplyDeleteI tried that soup diet ONCE - - - and after all those days of eating that soup till I thought I'd BARF, I only lost a couple of pounds.
So not worth it for ME - - - I decided I can either be skinny again and MISERABLE, or stay the size I now am and be HAPPY. I chose happy.
BUT - - - neither hubs nor myself have been told to lose weight for our health, so there's the difference. I believe you said at the start of all this that it was for your hub's health sake.
MMMMMMMMMMMM does that sound good!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the bathroom and that gorgeous candle holder...mind you the cake looks veryy pretty too.

ReplyDeleteVery pretty Bj! Love that candle holder!
ReplyDeleteNow you need to quit having sweet dreams. Get it? Sweet dreams? You are sugar deprived you poor thing. Enjoy the grands. Mine are coming next weekend.
ReplyDeleteStop dreaming about food if at all possible. You'll go crazy. How's the soup going? I bet you've lost weight already.
ReplyDeleteLovely images...I see you skipped on back to good old Photoscape. I love them.
Have a grand weekend with the grands!
Forget all the glitz & glam ... I just baked the Better Than Sex Cake today, yum!, worth every single morsel! But this I've gotta try.

ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday
Happy Pink Saturday BJ Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous share today. I love all the little touches you add about your home. I could stroll for hours just looking and dreaming and making notations in my mind for little things I might like to try.
The cake sounds delish, and I am definitely going to give this one a try.
Have a wonderful weekend with the grands sweet friend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Happy PS, BJ! I loved the special touches in your pretty bathroom, but that cake...I want a bite right now!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, that strawberry box cake - looks delicious! I try not to diet - having wasted too much time on that sort of thing when I was younger, but when ever I do try to drop a few pounds I definitely try to avoid lovely cakes. I know it's been said before, but why are all the scrumptious things so full of calories!!?
ReplyDeleteWao, its beautiful..really romantic :)
ReplyDeleteWooooo-hooooo...
ReplyDeleteThat Subject Line!
Thought you were referring to "The Mile High Club."
-giggles-
What a beautiful post, bj. You asked about sugar substitutes. I've never tried to use them but I would certainly think they could be used. There is no baking involved. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary
ReplyDeleteBut, of COURSE!!!
ReplyDeleteOur choice of fragrances are similar.
I'm a shower girl......would you believe Louis Dean is the one who takes long hot bubble baths? I have been known to light candles in there for him sometimes!
that is officially the presttiest bathroom ever! i want it! thanks for your beautiful photos and a happy pink saturday to you. xo
ReplyDeleteforget the flowers! I'll take the cake! HPS BJ. Hope you are having a great weekend with the younguns.
ReplyDeleteI could get into that cabbage soup. I love low fat soups. That's a good thing about winter...eating all those healthy delicious soups. I put cabbage in several of the soups I make. BUT, I can see me now, telling Bobby G. the only thing he gets for a week is soup. No way...not happening. LOL
It's all very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMmmm..that cake looks yummy!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely shadow shots for the day and I love the candle holder! That cake does indeed look yummy! Hope you're enjoying a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Great minds; I just added a vase with some beautiful silk roses in my bathroom. Wishing you a great weekend. Good luck with that cabbage diet.
ReplyDeleteRita

I love it! Can I have that piece and can I have that cloche :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration.

I prefer showers but on occasions love a bath in the tub. When I do out come the candles. Just makes the bath so luxurious. Dear girl, I think you have having visions of "sugarplums." Don't beat yourself up and hang in there!

The candelabra is my favorite piece here - the feeling is that I see a tree, birds and nests of romantic flame. In a powder room - the charm her is undeniable, a room to visit even if not for necessary reasons. A place to relax of beauty...
ReplyDeleteSure do like that cake recipe...I used to make it all the time, but for some reason, it has been a year or so since I've brought out the ol' recipe...
ReplyDeleteLooks great around your place...stick to that diet!
hugs
Oh so pretty! Yummy cake, I believe I will have a chunk of that too;). Enjoy your time with the Grands! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI love all your special touches in the bath. I'm with you on all!
ReplyDeleteI admire you doing the cabbage diet. I just cannot eat the same thing over & over. You are strong ~ I know you're going to rock it!

Love the bathroom BJ. For a minute I thought you were enjoying the cake in the bathtub! Wouldn't that be fun! Happy Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby did the cabbage soup diet once when I was away with girlfriends. He lost 8 lbs. in about 5 days, but then couldn't face another day of SOUP!!!!!!!! I admire you, I don't think I could do it. Hang in there and have fun with the grands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteLovely touches of ethereal beauty! Like a sweet romance!
ReplyDeleteA romantic setting! Thanks for your contribution to SSS2!
ReplyDeleteJoy and Shadow, have a blessed Sunday!
Gorgeous! Don't even think about that strawberry cake. You've got cabbage soup to eat! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI don't think there's a room in a house that wouldn't benefit from some 'prettifying'.
ReplyDeleteStep away from that cake daydream, BJ! Focus on the cabbage - after all, cabbage is vaguely rose-shaped!
Such a peaceful setting to soak for a while...and, especially, to the flickering of soft candle light! Calgon....Take me away!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Carolynn x x x
Gotta chuckle at your "dream"comment. I always say "some women dream about Bruce Willis, me it's cupcakes"... guess that's better than dreaming about work though:@)
ReplyDeleteSurely a romantic and lovely bathroom you have!
ReplyDeleteVisitng from withapinkie.blogspot.com
bj Hi!
ReplyDeleteLove your romantic decor in the powder room. Though I would have to have the candle holder up high so I don't knock it over and burn down the house. I just burned my self on a metal candle holder. I'm clumsy.
Pat
LOVED it! Bed, Bath and......BEYOND!!!!!!
