~ Kathleen's got her DISH on ~

KATHLEEN'S new weekly party is somewhat different from most of the
TABLESCAPES    or    RECIPE    parties in that she requires
not JUST food....not JUST a tablescape
but some downright, every day,
sit down at the table and.......let's EAT...
Pretty much anything if it GOES ON THE TABLE.

My breakfast room is fairly tiny.
It is at the end of my kitchen, separated by a long eating bar.
Our DINING ROOM is at the other end of the kitchen.

I have a bistro table, FRENCH black, and two backed stools.
I found some darling chair pads on EBAY last year that are
BLACK AND WHITE
POLKA DOT...be still my heart....

We don't eat here often...
(remember, we have a table in the TV viewing range in one end of the living room. )
(When I was a kid, every one called the living room, the FRONT room....)
 Sometimes
I read a new magazine and eat breakfast at this little tiny table for two.

Breakfast this morning was grilled ham steak,
with a fresh pineapple slice, also grilled,
strawberries and STORE BOUGHT rolls.
Frozen, then you bake and they are delicious...much better than any
homemade roll I could make.

DUNKIN DONUTS COFFEE......

OF COURSE.
;>)
This is BREAKFAST for ONE this morning.
Mr. Sweet goes to workout three mornings a week and doesn't eat until AFTER he gets back home.
If I make myself something more than cereal, I make his, too.

I don't read music but I am betting this cup is singing
OH, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING...:)

Well, on second thought, BEETHOVEN didn't write that song....hmmmm

I love the newest
COUNTRY LIVING magazine....

I am really wanting a cubby hole shelf like the one on the front cover.
Have NO idea where I would hang it as there's not much more than a square inch unadorned on any of the walls in my entire house.

The magazine makes
EVERYthing look so good
it makes you WANT IT ALL.

Wine corks and silk tulips for a breakfast centerpiece.....?
I seldom have a "centerpiece" for our breakfast table....
the above items stay on this table pretty much all the time.
Thanks for coming by today.
I hope your week is going GREAT
P.S.  I didn't get up early and fire up the grill.....no sir.

We had daughter and grands over for dinner the night before.
Grilled ham steaks with fresh, grilled pineapple slices
FULLY LOADED baked potatoes
Tossed green salad with fresh spinach and strawberries
♥Hot rolls
Texas Sweet Tea
Chocolate Ice Cream with Pecan Sandies Cookies
MR. SWEET just made enuf for us to have for breakfast, too.
WHAT A MAN !
P.P.S.S.
He worked on my shelf today and I am excited...:))

  16. You always make me want to prepare whatever you enjoyed. Now I'm feeling just like having ham with pineapple slices. Guess I'll have to wait for Easter. So many lovely things to see and enjoy right here that I'm quite sure I don't need to look at CL to see what I missed. (I thought at the time I was reading it that I needn't ever purchase again, though perhaps I was hasty.)

  23. I am loving the cover of Country Living magazine this month too. I want to find a cubby like in the photo.

My grandmother calls her living room the front room too. I have a habit of doing that too which totally confuses most people :)

I would love to have breakfast with you...my favorite meal.
