~ have a seat ~

   MR. SWEET has THE shelf painted with one coat of paint but it needs another one or two...
It's too windy the last couple days to paint so, it's on hold, waiting for nicer weather.
Thanks to all who are showing such an interest in it.
He has done an awesome job.

Mr. Sweet just got an awesome leather,
MAN CAVE
recliner that he LOVES.

He says it fits his body like a glove, gliding and swiveling and reclining all over the place.......
with a huge grin on his face and his eyes closed....
you'd think he was eating the best chocolate fudge cake in the world, with that satisfied look ALL OVER  his sweet face.

Let me tell you the low down on these

dreamy ACCENT chairs......

I just wanted to replace my olden BLUE chairs that didn't go with a single solitary thing in my 

 living room...
plus they were REALLY OLD.
I looked for slipcovers but ...........

I saw some adorable accent chairs over at 

ON SUTTON PLACE

and when I asked her about them,

she said TARGET....

SAY WHAAAAT...?

YEP.....TARGET

She said they have so many styles, colors and
fabrics....

  and I couldn't wait to check them out online.

She also mentioned that considering the low price....
WELL....
"the low price" set my feet a'dancin.....

So, I danced my way right over there and on the very first page, found what I KNEW would go with things in my room.
They were also within my budget....

Just little accent chairs.....
black and white...
but....ALAS....

WHAT ABOUT MY OTTOMAN......??


 It is BLUE....that matched those blue chairs.

Target didn't have an ottoman slipcover to match the new chairs.....BUMMER...

a little SUREFIT cover in CLARET....
just my red color....
deep, dark CLARET.

Just $16.00, free shipping....I knew I couldn't beat that. NOW...it is not my heart's desire....
it is just ALMOST too much red for me......it's a pretty big piece of red, people.....
I have pretty much stuck with just touches here and there of the color..... but it looks pretty nice with the rest of the CLARETS in the room...and, the style is so simple, I am pretty sure I can make one in some fabric that I will like better.

BUT....for now....

I am thrilled to have it.

 So thrilled, I had myself a little snack breakfast right here on this ottoman.

Nothing special....

nothing to write home about....

but, still, a favorite of ours...

just biscuits and creamed gravy with 

LOTS OF PEPPER.

Sometimes, I buy the
FAT FREE packets of gravy...just add water.
MOST of the time, tho,
I use a little oil (or....*shhhhh....bacon grease)
adding a little flour, let it brown nicely, add
salt and pepper and milk.
Stir until nice and as thick as you want it.
Personally, I like my gravy on the thin side....
Mr. Sweet, on the other hand, could have to use a knife and fork to slice it since he likes his gravy THICK.

A tip on keeping your gravies from lumping is to use a SLOTTED spoon or spatula to stir with.

 I'm proud of my 2 little accent chairs.
Mr. Sweet has a comfy spot to watch tv...
and so do I.
These little chairs won't get much use.........
just when 'company comes'
and they are perfect for that.
