Light of my Life

Hi fellow bloggers....I hope your week is going GREAT.
Some of you may remember this awesome lamp I put together for our daughter*in*luv, KATHY,
at Christmastime.

I loved how cool all the wine corks looked in the base of this tall and impressive lamp.....

and, secretly, was wishing for a
WINE CORK LAMP
for me, too.   :O)

Now, I have PLENTY of nice, large lamps and really and truly do NOT need another lamp.....
but, I do have this thang about lamps...especially
WINE CORK LAMPS......

So, on a thrifting day, actually not long after CHRISTMAS,
I found a little fillable lamp....
a tiny little thing....
just about 11" high.
and
the shape was adorable....
a  HEXAGON.
The great thing was that it was 2 bucks !!
...and, I knew I still had PLENTY of those awesome WINE CORKS I had ordered off EBAY.
(I have had a DEEP love affair with EBAY for over 10 years...LOVE. THEM!!
now...don't ya think it's a cute little thing ?

Small and can be
tucked into just about any place I might need a spot of light.....

I THOUGHT I would want a creamy white or a FRENCHY lamp shade but
I had this little black one and when I tried it on the tiny lamp,
it sighed a big sigh
and it was love at first sight.

How can you argue with a lamp ?

I picked thru all my excess wine corks
and tried to find the most interesting ones....
I just LOVE wine corks.
Some of them are little works of art...
and ALL of them provide that lovely texture
we love adding to our tabletops.

See that little FLEUR ?
I love that !!

In fact, I just love my little new lamp.

Isn't it great when such a tiny thing makes our heart sing ? !!

....for now, I have it sitting on my little black
BISTRO table in the breakfast room....
Just the right amount of light for a cup of coffee
and looking through an olden magazine, dreaming of pretty plants and flowers for SPRING.
LOVE AND KISSES, bj

Well, that is sure cute. I have a thang about lamps/lights, too. I could fill my house with lamps. One of our shirt-tail relatives is a corker- she supplies corks to factories all over the world. xo Diana

The corks are neat - made from the original bark in your lamps, the cork is going plastic these days or even (shudder!) to screw tops! The simple artistry of crafts you create is amazing and artistic too!

Good Evening BJ Sweetie...
What a gorgeous share tonight. I simply adore your lamp and the corks are so darn cute. That lamp is perfect with your little polka dotted cup. So cute.

I went to a yard sale and bought a popcorn tin full of wine corks for 50 cents. I couldn't believe it. I hurried to the house with this purchase. I put some of mine in an old jug that I bought back in Oklahoma, still had it's lid on it, and tied a little rafia bow to it. I love the look it has. Wine corks are so much fun, and have many uses in crafting. I still have over 1/2 of my popcorn tin full to play with.

Oh sweetie, thank you for sharing your gorgeous lamp once again. I so enjoyed my visit tonight.

Many hugs and much love, Sherry
