Is that the doorbell ????

It's happened to all of us...
the doorbell rings...
a couple you haven't seen in forever is standing on your front porch.
"We came by to see if you'd go to dinner with us..."
"Come in, come in....let's have a glass of wine and I'll get ready."
I try really hard to ALWAYS have something on hand that I can fix really quick
that would go great with a glass of wine....
or even a glass of iced tea.
THE ABOVE...
CHEESE PIZZA BREAD
is awesome to keep in your freezer for just such times.
Slice it....
and serve with a fabulous dip...
SPINACH DIP is really good...
here's the simple recipe I use all the time.....

KNORR SPINACH DIP

1 package (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, cooked, cooled and squeezed dry
1 container (16 oz.) sour cream
1 cup Helmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise (I always use Hellmann's)
1 package Knorr® Vegetable recipe mix
1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, drained and chopped (optional)
3 green onions, chopped (optional)
Combine all ingredients and chill about 2 hours.
Serve with your favorite dippers to your favorite people.
Daughter Stacy is the one that  told me about this special dip....sooo good.
When someone drops in and I've not had time to "CHILL 2 HOURS",
I serve it right up after I make it.
It goes together really quick......by the time the CHEESE PIZZA BREAD is ready,
so is the dip.
It tastes delicious...
as a matter of fact......I don't think I have EVER chilled it a whole 2 hours. :)
Open a favorite wine.....get out your awesome wine glasses.....
A perfect snack to whet the appetite....
and while your guests enjoy the tidbits,
you've had time to throw on something smashing and ready to
have a great dinner with the friends you love.

I really like Moscato and this is the perfect throw together and enjoy yourself cooking that I love.

I try to keep things in the house that can be put together at short notice too...but they never look as good as this!

Oh yummy. I really like Moscato, and cheesy bread, who doesn't like it? and Knorr spinach dip, my favorite dip of all. I might just have to ring your ole doorbell some time.....;-) xo

Looks delicious. Great that your friends dropped by unexpectedly too. We need to do that more often.

I love Moscato wine! I'll have to try that one for sure. Oh and spinach dip, yummy!

I would eat and enjoy anything you fixed if I could get it. Any unexpected company at me house, would be terribly disappointed. My cupboard is almost bare. Hate going to the grocery store.

Oh, BJ, the Knorr Spinach Dip is one of my favorites. Sometimes when I am watching calories I make it with fat free sour cream and lite mayo and I can enjoy it with some veggies and a few crackers.

Everything looks so yummy in this post!

Hi Bj!

I think I would drop dead on the spot if anyone showed up unexpectedly at my door. First of all I would just about never be prepared... and most importantly there is really no one to "come a knocking".

All my family still live HUNDREDS and THOUSANDS of miles away. I guess I better get out and get socializing...

But you bet that if I ever have the opportunity to travel past your house again... I will knock!

xoxo Bunny Jean

ps. I like the sound of you dip recipe!

I can smell it from here lol... I may just have to pop over once for that unannounced touch :-P

If I were ion your neighborhood I would be knocking on your door for sure! Sounds SO good! Hoe did you make the cheesy bread? XO, Pinky

I have made that Knorr Spinach dip for years. I usually hollow out a rye loaf of round bread and serve it IN there. I cut up the innards for dippers and usually buy a loaf of that rye cocktail bread for more "dippers". I'll bet it doesn't take you any time at all to look smashing! xo Diana

What a great idea!! My girls LOVE cheese pizza. I've never paired it with spinach dip, it's definitely something to try! And I am a nut for Moscato... love it! As a matter of fact, I have a new bottle in the frig, maybe I should pop it open....

Cant say how I got here but YUM, I will have to try this dip. I just mastered pizza crust so I am sure now I can do your pizza cheese bread. I was looking around, I will keep praying for rain for you all and do the same here for Ga. We sure suffered last year.

I will follow for Chocolate, I like the dark if you dont mind please! Simple Souther Chocolate should have been my blog name.

GOD bless and keep you all safe!

Cool ideas.

But Hon, I'd get my knickers in a twist if anyone showed up on my doorstep like that. I don't care if they are asking one to go out.

I insist on a phone call ahead of time.

Yup, I'm grumpy that way. ,-)

Another great piece of advice & cheesy bread :) Being a pro active hostess makes pop in company a no problem situation. Is Knorr Spinach dip not one of the best dips ever? I fix it for holiday open house at the shop and either serve it in a bread bowl or in a purple cabbage for the wow factor effect. The cheesy bread grabbed my attention, the spinach dip kept my attention, but the wine glass from one of my favorite places on earth, the Venetian, made me pay close attention- love the place!
Delicious inspiration, BJ!
