Wedding On The Bridge 2

Because I have found two new (to me) linky parties that I want to play with,
I am doing a rerun on one of my favorite posts.
Favorite because it concerns one of my favorite nephews, STEVE, and his wedding....
ON A BRIDGE....

Parked in the shadows of trees, waiting for a wedding to start....♥♥

A nephew got married last week and we attended the FAR OUT wedding...
I'd never been to a wedding that took place on a BRIDGE....
pretty neat, tho.

It was held on an olden, HISTORIC bridge, among trees that were SUPPOSED to be turning
beautiful colors....
however, due to the HEAT and DROUGHT, the COLOR CHANGE wasn't there.
It was still a pretty place for a casual wedding.

An olden NAIL and it's SHADOW....

My most favorite SHADOW SHOT I've ever taken....
A cool WEDDING IN THE SHADOWS....
Be happy, Steve...we love you !
Joining in with:
SUNDAY BRIDGES...thanks so much to all the hosts.

What a neat wedding. Good for them for doing something they really wanted to do that wasn't quite so traditional. xo Diana

I like that idea! I wanted to be married on an old bridge at a local arboretum, but I broke it off. That bridge is no longer standing.
Great photos

The venue for this momentous event is wonderful - perhaps it is a metaphor for the marriage, the bridge from the old lives as individuals to partners...

The new vows were taken under the witnesses and under God, so where it was held would not matter. Except the family and friends were witness in an amazing and cool place!

What a fun and different idea! That last photo is really neat with all the shadow people on the bridge.

That is an unusual place to get married; the bridge must mean a lot to them. Thanks for sharing this special moment.

I LOVE the location for the wedding, for an outdoor wedding.

I love seeing weddings that are held in interesting places! My husband and I had thought about having an outdoor wedding, but since the weather can change so much here in Ohio, we thought that might not be a good idea. Looks like they had a beautiful sunny day though! Where they had drought, we had an overabundance of rain this year. You sure got some cool pics!

That is a first! Holding a wedding on a bridge would also help keep the guest list down!

I wonder if the wedding party noticed their shadows in the ravine...

That is the first wedding I have heard of on a bridge. It seemed to turned out very well. At least, no body jumped off. They have lots of great shadows to think about down the road of life.

BJ, somehow I missed this when you first posted it. What a cool idea to have a wedding on a bridge. Love it! Love the shadow shots too. ~ Sarah

We have had one here in our town under a beautiful old bridge. UNDER it it looks like the arches of a cathedral!

My cousins daughter got married Dec 31, 2011 in park in Durango, Colorado outside. Snow and all. It was suppose to be on a mountain top but it had snowed and the pathways were too muddy. The bride and bridesmaids were in their beautiful gowns with caps and.....pretty snow boots. ;o)

I like the bridge wedding idea. Pretty.
