I FOUND MY THRILL...................

♦♪♪......on BLUEBERRY HILL ♫♪♪
I just love trying new mixes and then sharing my findings with YOU....
I am well aware that a lot of us don't have time to make all the goodies from SCRATCH
and I am on a mission to find the BEST of the BEST in cookie mixes, cake mixes
and today.....BLUEBERRY MUFFIN MIX
SIMPLE MORNINGS
from DUNCAN HINES
It has real WILD MAINE BLUEBERRIES
in the box....

I love this photo of rinsing the berries......:>)

Let's see....all you need is water, oil and an egg.....
I always add a teaspoon of pure Vanilla flavoring to most everything I cook.

had some really CUTE muffin papers
and I meant to buy some.....
Forgot all about it so had to use just the plain white and silver ones.

ham slices.....goes GREAT with Blueberry muffins...
well, actually..................
HAM goes with everything, I think.....
I had to put these back into the oven for a few minutes to get them browner...
ahhhh, now......just right.

Blueberry muffins......
a candle......
and blue flowers....

WHAT a way to start the day...:)

I even had a little tiny BLUEBERRY candle to go on our breakfast tray.....
pretty cool, hu ?

That's the little
VINTAGE sliver spreader that KATHY stamped and sent me.
I use it all the time....

Both Mr. Sweet and I decided we would have these tasty muffins again and again.
I'll buy more boxes of them and keep them in the freezer.
Then when we get a "wild hair for some wild blueberry" muffins, I can have them on the
breakfast table in no time at all....

and next time, I hope to have some of the cute cupcake papers like these of
KATHY'S.
Aren't they adorable...?....and doesn't she have them displayed in the cutest way !!

Kathy has a new camera and she has some really good photos already and more to follow as she learns the tricks of the trade.
(her photos of her LEMON COOKIES makes ya reach out to get one).........
When you stop by and tell her hello would you kindly tell her HEY from bj ? Thanks....

BJ, there is NOTHING like Maine blueberries. They just don't compare to the cultivated ones. We pick them every year, and I covet them. I am thrilled that you shared this and I will be hitting the grocery store in ten minutes. LOL Those muffin papers are so sweet on display!

DH makes the muffins here, and they are wonderful! We used to take orders for them. So I will not be making muffins. If I do, it will become my job, and I am over employed now! :)
Enjoy your muffins! You are always making something!

I love blueberry muffins so I'll give these a try..

I see nothing wrong at all with using mixes because they are so convenient and usually very delicious. Your blueberry muffins look like they would easily prove that. I once showed a cake on my blog made from a mix with my own twist to it and some unnamed person asked why I didn't just make it from scratch with fresh ingredients. I wanted to answer because I didn't want to but I was very Christian like and turned the other cheek. It seems breakfast is a special time of day at your house.--------

Real blueberries would make the mix semi-homade wouldn't it? :>) I am so glad you like the spreader, I hope you smile when you use it my friend, and know that I love you across the miles!

*Drool* You make me want to try everything you cook, BJ! I bought some sugar cookie mix yesterday, just because you mentioned it & now I'll be on the look out for this blueberry muffin mix. I have blueberries in the freezer from my Dad's bushes, to add to the mix. Thanks for the tip about adding a titch of real vanilla...will try it!

Hugs,
Rett

You are so lucky, that Blogger did not install their *new comment thingy* in your blog. I didn't want it, but Blogger installed it anyway.

And now, many Dear Readers can not comment in my blog.

If you still don't know what this is about..... Please look at the TOP of my Sidebar. And click on the link I give, there.

Please and thank you.

Hi bj, I love the packaged blueberry muffins mix. I prefer from scratch too when I have time and in the mood but confess the older I get the less time the better. These are really good and I like you idea to add vanilla. How pretty is that tray, wow you make it so pretty with the candle and flowers. I hope Mr Sweet knows how lucky he is……….Now I know what to do with my pretty paper muffin cups.

Those look totally yummy, and I'm all about saving steps without losing taste. I don't usually have my sound on, but this morning I'll be singing "Blueberry Hill" until I get it out of my system. In my head, I'll sound just like Fats Domino.

If you want to check out new cookbooks, that is fine. In my opinion, all you need to do is what comes naturally. I would enjoy anything you cooked.
