Wonderful goodies from a wonderful blogger! Marydon is a treat to visit, and she is also generous with information when I have questions about antiques!

Now -- BJ -- you asked about the brisket being "sweet." I polled my family-- they aqree that it does not taste "sweet" but rather tastes meaty and "dark" if you know what I mean -- a rich deep taste. Believe me, NO ONE ever guesses what is in the sauce. Plus there is the salty onion soup mix to counter the sweetness.

It is not at all "sweet and sour" tasting, or fruity tasting.
Use a brisket that has a little bit of the fat still on it -- put that side up so it melts through the meat -- and make sure to take off the foil for about 20 - 30 minutes to darken and thicken the sauces.

Even my sister in law praises it, and she's a tough customer!

And another new Blog Look here! I'm afraid I have run-out-of-steam, for new blog looks. But! Who knows! There are a few days left! :-)
