This week, we can use 106 words, including the prompt,
WOULD YOU LIKE FRIES WITH THAT
THIS photo is all that we can use for our story/poem/whatever...
Daughter had had an exceptionally hard day.
She had shopped for Christmas for her 4 children and THAT is no easy task.
Spending more time than she thought, she remembered she HAD to stop by
the post office to mail a VERY important letter for her husband.
She hurried.....but
IT WAS CLOSED....
She was just beside herself....he was going to be nice about it...he's that kind of guy...
but she KNEW he was going to be so disappointed. Tired and frustrated,
she stopped by to pick up burgers for the night meal and
was asked, "WOULD YOU LIKE FRIES WITH THAT?"...
"Yes....I have a coupon for free fries....
but when she started looking....NOT THERE.
"that's ok, ....you can have the fries".
....she busted out crying..."YOU ARE THE FIRST NICE THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME ALL DAY LONG."
Bless your heart, sweetie girl, I've
BEEN THERE....
DONE THAT ....
I love you.....
Mama
