TODAY, it rests in it's porch corner during the MAGNIFICENT RAIN....

Rain makes me hungry...wonder why?
We love these little frozen hash browns...:)

What a neat post. Gotta tell you- I have always loved Mae West's quotes. She was just sooo outrageous at a time when most women did NOT speak up. Love her spunk. We had rain here today, too. xo Diana

I can see that you are more than ready for the rain when it comes. And I hope that it is gentle yet steady. You may be planning tablescapes and scrumptious things to bake already.

Loved the quote about criticism - so true.

We had rain and some blustery storms this evening. Very thankful for the rain!

Glad to know you're getting some much needed rain. those quotes were fun to read. We have been enjoying some nice weather lately, but our water levels are low due to lack of rain this summer.

I giggled about your rain post and losing part of your yard. When we lived in Texas I loved it when it rained! It's only October and already I've had enough rain and know I have till May, darn it! Although I live in Oregon, we also lost part of our yard this summer and had to lay new sod. It's always something, huh?

We are expecting rain today and your rain post made me smile. I don't mind the rain, especially if we need it and we most certainly need it now. So dry and it was hot yesterday. A nice rain will bring a cool down for the weekend, and its suppose to be cool here now. Thanks for the rain post bj........
Enjoy your weekend.

That head of yours is so full of great ideas it must hurt. This is just the best. I love how you associated all these great quotes with your rain. We still have had very little and warm days. My flowers think it is spring again. I am afraid it will come a freeze one night and end them. There must be something you are not so good at.

I LOVE Mae West. When I was a little girl, I watched all her movies and thought she was the cat's meow. Even did a killer impersonation of her when I was seven. They don't make 'em like her anymore.

I just could have given you such a big hug this morning (having my coffee) when I saw your post.
It's your neighborhood. It's like my neighborhood. Your lawn after such a drought looked exactly as you would expect.

I love my little home but it is not in a lovely neighborhood. It's our tiny bit of heaven..and I love it. It's been fun making it my own and watching Howard get used to flowers and plants and color. He had never had that in his life. It's been fun.

I think you know what I mean..

we've been waiting here too. sadly in yesterday's forecast, we only ended up with less than 1/2 an inch, spread over 2 different showers. oh well...

Out of the rain is the very best place for the flag on a stormy day.

A day filled with scarlet, they say,
Can make the sad heart skip and play;
For where red abides,
A little bird hides
And sings every worry away.
