KNOCK MY SOX OFF November '11

Each month, I try to do a post of things that just
KNOCKED MY SOX OFF.
Some times, I use photos from blogs or the net
and sometimes, I use my own photos.
If I feature YOU and your blog, please feel free to take the
" GOT MY SOX KNOCKED OFF AT SWEET NOTHINGS."
I would be honored to see it on your sidebar....:>)

One of the MAJOR things that KNOCKED MY SOX OFF this month was my youngest grandgirl, DEEDS, here with her beautiful mom just after she won FIRST PLACE in her writing for UYL...for the whole district.

CONGRATULATIONS, DEEDS. and LOTS of love to you, my little smart cookie....
OMYGOSH....I am sooo in LUV with this awesome chair that
CENTSATIONAL GIRL created for the popular magazine, DIY.
Go see how she did this and maybe you can create one like it.
THIS is the living room of the English cottage in the older movie, THE HOLIDAY.
I  love the casualness of this beautiful room. The colors used are so restful but not one bit boring. I get a good feeling just looking at it.

ROSEMARY is gathering beautiful, natural
items for her Christmas decorating.
Her hubby gathered these beautiful berries for her from the swamp. How romantic is THAT !

Photos from MATTHEW MEAD and I am sooo gonna make a
GREEN APPLE WREATH.......
I just LUV it and one thing I CAN do crafty is USE A HOT GLUE GUN...
not saying that I don't come away with 1st degree burns sometimes...
I am off to Walmart for GREEN APPLES...
but where will I find a pretty wreath like this one? Maybe HOBBY LOBBY.
THIS beautiful photo belongs to PAT
that resides at BACK PORCH MUSINGS
She is getting all ready for Christmas at their lake house.
Have a Holly Jolly Christmas, Pat.

 ...and this PEPPERMINT PIG
handcrafted
by our sweet LYNN  and probably EARL, THE PIG,
is just about the cutest thing I've seen lately.

"The pig is honored in Victorian holiday tradition as a symbol of good health, happiness and prosperity. After your holiday meal, crack the candy with a hammer and share with family and friends."
♥♥♥
Thanks for telling us how to do this, Lynn.
I hope to find a piggy cookie cutter and make some of these for my
CHRISTMAS TABLE.
Joining in with
PINK SATURDAY since RED is a form of PINK, especially in the Christmas season.
SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY (ok, ya gotta look hard at the CHAIR photo for a shadow)

Well be careful at Walmart! Things are getting rough out there! We tried to go last night and there was NO parking spot...absolutely NONE! We took it from above to take our weary overeaten butts home!!

Happy Day After!!! :-)

Congratulations to your sweet and smart Deeds!

I love that "The Holiday" room too, although I'd add more pinks and rose colors. :-)

Gentle hugs,

You're a brave soul to get out there ~ so much craziness. I don't think there's anything I want or need that can't wait until Monday. :-)

Everything shared is wonderful and your granddaughter is adorable! Of course, her mom is too.

Oh, and while you're at it, you could make one of those great apple wreaths for me too. :-)

Congratulations to Deeds - her family, in all generations, have helped to make her someone who works hard, and is allowed a bit of pride in working hard and accomplishing...your home is so lovely, decorated nicely, and all rooms shown if yours or not all have a country comfort, a place to relax when invited, Nice!
