Gotta LOVE Thrifting

THRIFTING is always fun for me...
but sometimes, you really STRIKE PAY DIRT
and then it's MEGA fun..
The above pitcher is PICADILLY CHICKEN PITCHER
from MACKENZIE CHILDS.
It sells for ♫♪ $100.00 ♪♪

Yep...there I was, just walking thru the thrift store and, loving black and white like I do, I spied this sweet little pitcher from across the room....
our eyes met...
my pulse beat faster...
violins started playing...
I started swaying...

I picked it up, turned it over, and not having my glasses on...
I couldn't read it....but, what the heck...I wanted it.

When I got to the car, got my glasses on...
"Mackenzie Childs...2007"
I found it at SALVATION ARMY THRIFT STORE for
$1.50
that's  ONE DOLLAR AND FIFTY CENTS, YA'LL
I was doin' the happy dance so hard and fast, I nearly fell down and dropped it before I could get to the check-out counter.
Now...this is NOT my favorite pattern of Mackenzie Childs
and this piece isn't one I look at and fall in love all over again.
But....it kind of wears on ya...it looks fabulous mixed in with my
other pieces so.....
I AM HAPPY.
xoxo bj

I wish we had thrift stores in my neck of the woods like you do in Lubbock. All we have is Goodwill and they are proud of all their things. Plus your timing must be good! Love your little chicken pitcher. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

It was meant to be in your home BJ! I told my sons that all my Mackenzie Childs pieces are worth money, and not to part with it at a garage sale.

Enjoy it in good health!

I never find anything like that at our thrift stores. I think this will look great with your other things and it is so funky looking, it wouldn't take long to fall in love with it even if it isn't your favorite pattern. Lucky you!

I love it! I love black and white anyway and then when you add checks in the mix then I'm totally hooked. ha! My mom actually has the black and white checked teapot and keeps it out on her stove. I've always loved it. she paid full price for it, so I KNOW what a fantastic deal you got!

That is unbelievable, BJ! You got really lucky! I love the black and white but I'm not a chicken girl myself. {I prefer bunnies}. I'd probably have bought it, too, and figured something out!
